Great hotel

Affordable and so cute, especially if you're into the vintage feel. The only thing the website doesn't mention is that the place is haunted, I wouldn't have chose a haunted place to stay alone if i'd known. That being said, the hotel bar is great too!

Great time

Historic hotel with lots of celebrity lineage. Rooms were nothing fancy, but the hotel was in a great location for walking around downtown and seeing all of the points on my itinerary. Only downside was no parking included but paid extra for hotel valet.

Great Choice!

Very Euro-Chic. Reminded me of a French Boutique Hotel that i stayed at. Small, non-branded, but clean and accomodating. Basics are all there. Clean Room/Bed, beefy, soft towels and a full assortment bath accessories. Very friendly and professional staff. Perfect location for Ballgames. Short walk to all venues.

A great place to stay in downtown Phx

Easy to get to from Phoenix's new light rail system, with convenient access to the heart of downtown. The price is also much more affordable than most hotels in the area. Rooms were comfortable and staff were friendly--my only complaint is that it was a tad noisy (bar/nightclub on first floor) on the weekends.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Phoenix's new light rail system is efficient and well-run, and much cheaper than other options ($1.75 flat rate). It stops near the hotel, goes directly to the airport, and also to the areas north of downtown.

Charming, with history, want to know more...

I was disappointed to have not seen or heard any ghosts. Will stay again and hope to meet up with one next time. The staffer at front desk said they are renovating, should be done by September, so rooms will be even nicer next stay. Had no hot water the first morning as no one told me how to work the faucet. Once I fiddled around, I figured it out, (when turned to the OPPOSITE from the H, the water got hot! Bed was very comfortable. Hall was very quiet. Breakfast was delicious!

Great location to visit the downtown ASU campus. There are many nice restaurants close by. The Arrogant Butcher was great!

You get what you pay for ...

There's no doubt the price and location of the hotel are great. Plus, the hotel's history is cool. But this is a good example of "you get what you pay for". The walls are VERY thin (you can hear normal-level conversations in adjacent rooms#, the shower plumbing is old #water temperature fluctuates drastically), and my mattress was awful. Plus, the front-desk staff when I checked in was rude. Thankfully when I checked out, the front desk agent was very helpful in getting me a taxi. If I had to do it all over again, I would pay more for a newer hotel and friendlier staff.

Great location

If you are going to Phoenix for a conference at the Phoenix conference center and don't want to spend an arm and a leg for hotel, this is a good hotel. It is an older hotel and not fancy but it is clean. The room I had was quite small but I was not there to stay in the room. There is no room service but there are a few quick eats in the area. The conference center is 3 blocks away! The hotel has central air and the room was a little chilly and you could not regulate it very well from the room. The bed was on the firm side but it was clean.
