The bombada

The hotel was under renovation, we couldn't tell that the place was even opened for business. It looked like we were pulling up to hotel Bagdad after it had just been bombed. There was dust everywhere when you entered the loby. The usual dining area was closed so they had breakfeast in a small area. The bed was like a rock in my room. The bed in one of my friends room was much nicer. The tv was at least 10 years old with a fuzzy picture.

Personal Travel

The entire hotel was under renovation construction. I wish this had been pointed out when I was booking the hotel. It was very inconvenient to have minimal to no amenities such as on site restaurant, pool, jacuzzi, etc. I opted to check out early rather than stay the last night.

Not fit to accept reservations

This hotel is not fit to be open to accept reservations. It is undergoing a massive reconstruction, the lobby is tore up, no drywall on the studs, exposed electrical wire everywhere, dirty bare exposed concrete floors with holes all over, dust that will choke you. Scaffolding everywhere, insulation hanging down plastics hanging down, noise very early by construction workers. And old furniture and trash filling the empty pool. Orbitz ought to be ashamed for not mentioning such a project to their customer I would have stayed elsewhere.

stay away. UNDER MAJOR REMODELING.

STAY AWAY !!!!! Nightmare! Major remodeling as for 10/1/2011. CURRENTLY, THE PLACE IS A DUMP. Carpet is nasty. One of the elevator is not safe. Door does not close properly. Very high chance of BED BUGS. Don't take a chance. A lot of odd looking customers with tags. The pictures of hotel are fakes. At the time of check-in, the hotel does not look anything like the picture. Walked-out. Re-booked with a different hotel.

Should be cheaper!!!

I booked this hotel based on location, value, and it looked decent on the photo. They failed to mention it was undergoing a major remodel. The lobby looked as if a bomb had gone off. There were signs everywhere stating to excuse the noise, but when I reached my room, the walls were shaking from what sounded like a jack hammer directly above me! Luckily I was just stopping in before rushing off to a meeting and the noise had stopped by the time I returned. However, I was woken up every morning (including a Saturday and Sunday) to more banging! Now for the other issues. I was in one of the newly redone rooms. The room appeared nice when I first arrived, but I soon found cigarette pack wrappers on the floor (entire hotel is supposed to be smoke free). the wall mounted lights didn't work. I had a great view of mesh covered scaffolding. The shower looked great and the design was nice, until you get in and notice the cheap shower head, poor tile work, and screw heads (that will catch you feet) poking up from the seams. None of the wifi signals had more than one bar of signal strength (even when standing in the lobby or business center, I checked with 2 laptops, my phone, and an iPad). When I complained, I was given the number for the hotels tech support. The clerk couldn't understand that the issue was with there equipment, not me not knowing how to work mine, even when other guests said they couldn't connect either. I finally tried to use the free Internetboffered through the tv services, but it didn't work either. I then complained about this as well and was told that it was disconnected in the lobby during the construction and they didn't know how to reconnect it. It was then suggested (AGAIN!) that I call tech support.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Try Stackers! It is a nice family friendly bar/restaurant right across the street from the main entrance.

Good stay

The room had everything I wanted and needed. The room was clean and nice looking. The bathroom was exceptionally nice looking. I picked this hotel because all of the ones close to the airport had reviews describing a shady area. The area the Hampton was in was fine and I felt safe with my children there.

Green Pool

The staff was unfriendly, the breakfast bar was nonexistent(waffle iron did not work), the juice was out 2 out 3 mornings - but the rooms were nice and clean (front desk assistant needs to work on her customer service)

Needs Improvement

Beds are hard. If your on the 3rd floor or up your getting a OLD room. TV reception sucked and there wasn't really any kid channels. If your room is on the north end except LOTS AND LOTS of traffic noise. A/C was barely cooling one of our rooms and we complained and each day supposedly it was fixed, NOT!! On the good hand, cleaning staff was great and front desk people were kind.
