The staff at the hotel were most helpful. We attended a Diamondbacks game, so the location was a plus, since it was within ... walking distance of the ballpark. The biggest problem that we had was trying to find 6th Street once we arrived in the downtown area. Not knowing that the street was not a thru street, caused us to drive around longer than necessary to locate the hotel. After not being able to find the hotel, we called and got further instructions from one of the staff members, then it was a piece of cake.

The walk to the ballpark was a treat in itself. We were able to enjoy the sights, and found a lovely area between the hotel and the park that had several dining facilities and shops. It also had a very unique garden area that was spectacular to walk thru.

Great location for taking in a ball game. Took the grandkids and walked to a game as well as several area resturants. Was ... able to park our RV at no cost. The kids really enjoyed the breakfast and pool. Rooms were clean, spacious, and the beds were comfortable.

The Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites, Downtown Pheonix-Ballpark had THE most accomodating and family like service. Each ... person knew what to do no matter what their title was. A great local team and I will stay there every time I return to Phoenix.

Drums in the night
Richard Jan 6, 2008
The Phoenix Downtown Holiday Inn has some plumbing problems. The first night I was moved to a different room at 3:00 a.m. ... because the pipes for the boiler were banging very loud for hours and hours. The room at the other end of the hotel was much better. Otherwise the room was standard and fine. I liked that I could walk to the Suns games easily from the hotel. The city was extremely quiet and the drivers were among the most courteous I have ever seen.
