NICE STAFF
THE STAFF WAS VERY NICE. NEIGHBORHOOD OF HOTEL WAS NOT SAFE FOR FEMALES TO WALK AROUND ALONE. THERE WERE NOT STORES NOR RESTAURANTS IN WALKING DISTANCE OF HOTAL. WILL NOT USE THIS HOTEL AGAIN.

Econo Lodge
Great friendly staff. Clean pool. Scary neighborhood. I will stay there again when passing through Phoenix.

Do not try to go get food on foot; the neighborhood is too shady. Definitely either order delivery or take a taxi or rental car.

We stayed overnight to be close to the airport in order to catch an early morning flight home.

Bill Johnson's Applewood is the closest non fast food place to eat--about one mile away. Very reasonable with friendly service and decent food.

Nice resting spot
I arrived via shuttle from the airport around 1:00am with 2 large suitcases, 1 small one, and an oversized purse. The registration clerk was there by himself, but he kindly assisted me to my room (upstairs and at the very far end of the property). I asked him if there was a vending machine that would have snacks, and he said no, but he could give me a couple of pastries that they put out for the continental breakfasts, which he did. A very enjoyable stay at an economy priced motel due to the excellent and friendly customer service

Not Bad for an Overnight Stay
If you are just staying for a night or two and need to be close to the PHX airport, then this is not a bad property at all. Make sure you bring everything (shop for essentials including dinner at the shops at PHX airport). I would not suggest leaving the hotel property in the evening. Even if you are bold enough to hail a taxicab.

Good for catching a flight in the mornin
The Econo Lodge was a typical motel near the airport. What we missed was a place nearby or in the hotel where you could have dinner. We ended up going to K and buying food there. Shuttle to and from airport is good, rooms are good sized and reasonably clean.

Good room, great price!

Phoenix Econ Lodge
The 24 hour shuttle was my main attraction to the hotel as I arrived late at night. The staff was very helpful I was able to get a razor at the front desk to shave with and they arranged for a taxi the next morning.
