Rush Concert

We stayed at the Clarendon this past weekend for the Rush Concert downtown. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel for the price we paid. The front desk staff are ARE 5 star, both helpful and friendly at the same time. The room was a little below average but served its purpose. The room is somewhat plain and outdated, and the A/C unit is a bit difficult to operate with the remote until you figure it out. The pool area was very nice with the bar service being an added perk. The bar inside was small but nice. Not many places open after the concert for food in the area however except for some 24 hr. Mexican joint that I walked to and the food was bad. My buddy stayed back and took advantage of the complimentary snacks (chips, peanuts, candy, etc...and soda) provided to him by the front desk. The also give vouchers for the breakfast in the restaurant worth $12.50. There is only 1 item over that price (steak and eggs) so the vouchers paid for breakfast both days and the wait staff was awesome. Highly recommended hotel for the price. Will be back.

Business Trip

Hotel is a revamp but done nicely. It is off the beaten path but for the price you cannot go wrong if you have a car. My room had a separate living room and desk which was nice. Pool is nice as I brought my wife and daughter they both enjoyed it. This place seems to be trendy, lots of young professionals.

Communication

The hotel was great. Very interesting place and I could tell the owners and staff are very dedicated making the clarendon a great place. The only beefs I have are 1. Overall communication. I was surprised with a 46 dollar bill when I checked out. That's after I payed for my room. (still trying to figure that one out) Also don't try to limit all the hotel info to one piece of paper. Make a pamphlet if you have to. Overall a great experience.

Amazing staff

Hotel was above average in quality of items, but not exceptional. The staff however were Exceptional, they were genuine in attitude and demeanor of wanting your stay to be the best possible. Will stay here again (Dodgers fans and we travel to see them play, Hotel about 3 miles from Stadium with public transportation to stadium within walking distance.)

I did enjoy my time there

The hotel has a mixed urban vibe in it. There were a lot of please that were hanging on the pool area, most of them were not guest...but I presume that you can use the pool for the day for fee. Overall, it was nice.
