awesome stay

This hotel is great. The staff is very professional, attentive and friendly. The hotel vibe is hip and the rooms are comfortable. It has a great restaurant the Gallo Blanco and the pool and skydeck both made my stay more enjoyable. The resort fee of $20/day seems a bit excessive but it inlcudes parking, wifi and unlimited sodas and snacks at the front desk so i guess that was acceptable. In fact, i'm snacking on a bag of Planters peanuts right now courtesy of the hotel. Gracias!

Front Desk

The guys at the front desk were so incredibly nice. We had a little hiccup with the original room they gave us, but they fixed it without a problem. The hotel is decent and what made it a place that I would stay again is without a doubt, the staff.

No Sleep for Days

We chose this hotel (which is really a motel) because it has a fantastic restaurant, a nice pool, and the decor looked awesome online. The decor turned out to be great, but the room overall had some serious issues. In the first room they gave us, we found feces on the bathtub, so we switched rooms. Accidentally left some Canadian candy in the mini fridge of the first room -candy you can't buy in the US. So we called the front desk and they eventually brought it to us. They had opened all the packages and ate some of it. Wow. I know it was Halloween and all, but seriously? We weren't offered any discounts for the issues with the first room and the candy theft. Couldn't get the temp in the room adjusted properly plus the never-ending nightly noises kept us from sleeping at all while we stayed there for 2 nights. Not impressed, will pick a different hotel next time because a decent night's sleep is a bit more important than a mid-century modern sofa and a hipster light fixture.

Great Staycation

We had a great time a the hotel. We enjoyed the fantastic restaurant downstairs, Gallo Blanco, with their great food. The Views and colors of the hotel were nice. The retro modern look for the hotel make it stand out for sure and the pool area is awesome. I would stay here again.

The good ole days

Stay at the Clarendon quite often. Slowly seen the change over the years. Some for the better some for the worse. Hotel overall is a rad experience. Right in central Phx tons of stuff to do. I've had issues with room cleanliness quite a few times but they always make right. One thing that drives me nuts is on Sunday pool is open to public. So if you're staying there and want a nice pool experience forget about it. Over run with locals. Gallo Blanco is always hoping so that's a plus. All in all good spot. Worth checking out.

Fun night away from home

We stayed for one night, and took advantage of having great food right downstairs at Gallo Blanco, and drinks on the roof. Super clean, spacious room; unlimited snacks from the front desk; free bikes for tooling around downtown. The Clarendon is a great get away, even though I live in town. Perfect!

not happy

My sister- in- law and brother-in- law were traveling with us. The doors to both our rooms did not latch properly and we also noticed another door the same. Consequently someone entered my sister- in- law's room, rifled her suitcase and stole $2000. The manager was singularly unhelpful, did not provide her with the information as to who entered her room as seen on the cameras the allegedly had in the halls. They offered her no recompense for her loss other than waiving room fees. All over this was very disheartening experience. I have never used X for a hotel and never will again. I have always used X for my plan tickets and will not be doing that again either.
