Not a 4 star hotel

We had several issues with room cleanliness. Blood on sheets, hair in sheets. It was terrible. They had amenities like water, snacks , candy bars but you paid an extra $20 a night for it. When we didn't get an answer from the manager via phone or email we went to travel planner where we did get a reimbursement! We would not recommend.

Cool place & vibe

Seemed like an odd location as we were getting there but we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Old hotel with great modernizations and upgrades. Room was very big and comfortable. The pool area was very cool, as was the roof top but, because we were there for Spring Training games, we didn't really spend a whole lot of time there besides sleeping. Very, very quite (we were away from the pool, may be louder in rooms overlooking the pool). Very happy with our experience there. Staff was very pleasant and the hotel provides free water, candy, frozen treats, etc., nice touch. Away from some of the places we spent most of our time but at a fraction of the price of hotels in Scottsdale, near the stadium. Go Giants!

Vacation from Snow

The staff at the hotel were top of the line. The front desk were not only very friendly, but also very helpful. (especially Melly, Danny, and Jesus) We had trouble with the shower, but it was fixed the same day. Wasn' crazy about the $20 resort fee, but I guess that is standard fare around there. I think the $20 should be waived if the pool is closed for a private event though. I would definately stay there again if I was spending more time in Phoenix, but not if I was going to Scottsdale everyday.

Right idea, Wrong execution

The lobby belies what's behind your room door. I walked into my room to a torn bed skirt, ratty bath mat, and a table that was weirdly placed next to the bed and nightstand. Everything was just a little off here. While friendly, the front desk staff would give you a different answer depending on who you ask. Is the computer working or not working? Better ask both agents. Do you have a treadmill? Better double check before you wander through the restaurant in your workout gear. Loud pool parties that last until 1am and teenagers hanging out in the lobby - why is this allowed? How this hotel gets a 4 star review is beyond me. If you're looking for a seamless, relaxing, 4 star vacation, this is not your place - 3 stars at best.

Budget resort

Friendly front desk, good treats. Nice attached southwestern style restaurant with great service. Bed needs to be replaced, furniture heavily scratched, upholstered furniture cleaned, more lighting required.

Clarendon

Bed was nice and comfortable. The tv had difficulty turning on, not to mention no TV guide option on the tv. The second morning the tv wouldn't turn on. Couldn't call the front desk due to all the cordless phones not working or dead batteries. Staff was informed and was sending help that never arrived. Hotel bar has very limited selection of hard alcohol and mostly beer. Room service is way overpriced.
