Spring Break in AZ

My family and I recently returned home from an "amazing" trip to the Arizona Grand. This was our 3rd time to stay at the Grand and we have never been disappointed. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to help you. Phil has his front desk staff ready to get your stay off to a great start. House keeping did a great job cleaning our villa and make sure our supplies were stocked! The pool/waterpark is so relaxing and our kids would open and close it every night! The lifeguards are all very attentive and friendly! I can not recommend this resort highly enough for an "amazing" break with family and friends!

Great 1st Spring Training experience

Hotel was centrally located to many of the ballparks. I wigs there were more food options than just the one restaurant. Front desk staff was not the most knowledgable and the wi-if that is included in the price of the room was terrible! The resort & views were beautiful and my kids loved the water park.

Good value

Good value. It's an older property but decent place and price was right at 180/night during peak season. Great atmosphere on the patio to enjoy a drink or meal. Beds were actually pretty good for an older place, they are definitely newer and room was spacious. Convenient location right off the freeway and tucked into the side of the mountain. Didn't get out for golf but played there before and remember it being good bit great. It's not Scottsdale and don't expect to be blown away but it's a great value.

A disappointment

When you book a 4 star hotel you have a certain expectation for amenities and service. For this hotel, one of the big selling points is the overall setting and pool amenities. Booking a 4 star hotel in Phoenix in February, for someone looking to escaping winter for a few days, an amenity like a nice pool complex is key. We were disappointed to find when we went to use the pool and hot tub, the pool was not heated and the hot tub did not appear to be functioning. When we asked about this. we were told by the front desk that during periods of low occupancy only 1 pool in the overall complex was heated. And we were supposed to guess? Somehow know which pool to go to? As opposed to just going to the one closest to our room? Could we have been told about this during check-in? It seems like a simple thing to do. Other than this disappointment, the rooms themselves were okay but not great. The interior looked to be in need of an update. It was okay, but not what you would expect next to other 4 star hotels that have more recently renovated rooms with more modern fixtures.

Not Bad , Room for improvement

I had a few complaints but overall it was pretty nice. We werent told the water park was closed. You could only use foam rubber balls on the golf driving range. Our tub took 3 hours to drain ...it was clogged. Drinks were very expensive !

Unhappy with internet connection. Checkout folks were not the least concerned. The resort fee in general is free money to them. Very little value received in return for making this payment. Something about the place that makes you forget about the worries of the world. So peaceful, just beautiful.
