Service is tops!

Our lasting impression of this resort is one of service. From the valet parking attendants to the reception desk to the bar and restaurant staff, the people here are top notch. They know you by name from the moment you check in. The food is also excellent - the chef is an Iron Chef finalist. It was a little cool to swim, but we did sit by the pool. We spent most of our time in and around Scottsdale and found the location very convenient. Only complaints - our toilet had some issues (even though maintenance checked it, they couldn't find a problem), and the path lighting at night could be better since you have to walk on a steep slope. Would highly recommend however and would stay again in the future.

Roka Akor, one of the top sushi restaurants in the country is a 10 minute drive. Don't miss it. Also in Scottsdale - Petite Maison (only 8 indoor tables, so reserve ahead). Excellent French food.

PERFECT ESCAPE WEEKEND!

First, the hotel could have not been located anymore conveniently to SkyHarbor Airport- perfect! Situated in a very upscale neighborhood in Paradise Valley we felt like we were home and not in some typical resort or hotel, the setting is beyond words with Camelback as your backdrop. The staff were so well trained on attending to all of our needs and making sure we were satisfied with every request we made. The guest accomodations were impresssive and tastefully appointed. Every inch of our casita was utilized during our stay paticularly the wrap-around deck overlooking Camelback and the praying monk. Will be returning real soon. GREAT Resort!

Perfect place to relax

I wanted to find a hotel where I could really relax and have some privacy. The Sanctuary really fit the bill. First off, their rooms are not in some big hotel packed like sardines. They are little casitas on the side of the mountain where you have some privacy and it is quiet. We had a beautiful view of the valley from our room. The bed was wonderful, so comfortable. The customer service is outstanding. They really do a great job in this area. My husband and I did a lot of biking in the Paradise Valley. They have some of the most beautiful homes in the area. This resort does cost a little more than your average hotel, but it is worth it. Once again, if you are looking to get away from the stress of everyday life and really relax, this is your place.

truly a sanctuary!

This was by far the nicest hotel/resort I have stayed in while in the Phoenix area. I have visited multiple times since moving away from the area in 2000. I had a heavenly stay. The grounds, room, and Jade bar are just beautiful. The poximity to Camelback and Squaw Peak mountains could not be better. The staff was also extremely helpful. I will only stay here in the future!

Excellent!

This is one of the best resorts I have stayed in. It is located in quiet and beautiful Paradise Valley. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They suggested restaurants and places to visit, and even printed out directions for us. The twice a day turn down service was amazing. Rooms had a fresh contemporary feel and were always clean. The pool was beautiful and very fun to use especially with the food service available pool side. I would recommend the Sanctuary to anyone visiting the Phoenix-Scottsdale area and would definitely return back if visiting again.
