We went to the Intercontinental Montelucia for our 25th wedding anniverary and it couldnt have been better. Beautiful top ... notch resort. Stunning location and surroundings. Wonderful staff. The only thing that bothered me was the resort fee and valet parking. Should be included in the price. Would definitely come back. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

we had a problem with our airline and would only arrive to spend a half day there. I contacted orbitz and they advised me to ... contact the hotel for a refund or a voucher for a future stay. So i did....and of course they were not willing to do anything. We were really looking forward to staying here and its unfortunate that no one was able to help us. they wouldnt even listen to us.

You absolutely have to stay here! I will admit that I am a very picky person, especially when it comes to hotels and ... restaurants. I was completely blown away by the Montelucia. Not only is this resort the most beautiful place that I have ever seen, but every single detail has been considered with attention and care. The staff was amazing! Every single person I came in contact with took time to see how I was enjoying my stay and to ask what they could do to make to make it more enjoyable. The concierge, the front desk staff, the bartenders, the wait staff... I truly got the feeling that each one of them wanted to make sure I was taken care of. It's rare to experience that level of genuine customer service. I was completely impressed. On top of all of that, the resort is gorgeous. Every corner has something new to explore. The Camelback Mountains make for a breathtaking backdrop. I have never been so relaxed in my entire life. I will recommend this resort to everyone I know and I can't wait to come back.

You have to make time to see The Grand Canyon while you're there. The concierge can make arrangements for you and I strongly recommend Detours Tours. [...] (my tourguide) was fun, interactive, and genuinely interested in making sure you experienced everything Grand Canyon has to offer. You can't imagine how beautiful it is until you see it first hand. It was a long drive there, but Detours will pick you up right at the hotel lobby and you spend the entire 12 hours seeing and learning about Arizona. You can't beat it! And my suggestion is, spring for the helicopter tour. It's so worth it.

We made use of their beautiful (but pricey) spa! The grounds were immaculate and all of the staff were friendly and ... courteous! I haven't been away for several years and this was a perfect relaxing retreat while at the same time, I enjoy the sites of Arizona!

Just about 2 miles away (or so), there were plenty of restaurants to dine at, especially in "Old Scottsdale". You can park and walk all around and find plenty of eateries and also some window shopping. We were in the mood for ice cream one day and while walking around Old Scottsdale we found an old fashion ice cream parlor - YUM

Beautiful Hotel
silfis Mar 3, 2009
The hotel is beautiful and quiet with terrific mountain views. It is dramatic looking at night -- fire lit outside near the ... pool. It is in a good location, but not in walking distance to anything. The rooms were a good size; the bathrooms were spacious and very nice. The one downside was the type of room we reserved was unavailable for 2 of our 5 night stay. The staff was so pleasant to deal with, however, that it was hard to be angry about the room. The restaurant was pricey, but was great about serving burgers and chicken fingers to our kids in the very nice bar.

Went on a long (5-6 mile), but very family friendly hike in the desrt with "Take a Hike Arizona." We highly recommend it.
