Cheap, clean, good starting point for Page

It's located close to highway, but in a quiet place (sounds strange, but it's true), so it's very easy to get to the nearest attractions. The breakfast is very basic, but anyway you won't have time for it, since to take most from Page you can plan your day like this: 7:30 starts a boat trip to Rainbow bridge (finally get away from the car and see a view on red mountains from the water). This trip takes 5,5-6 hours. Then immediately go to Antylope canyon by car, since it's much cheaper ($26 instead of $32, pass is not valid here) and groups start every 10 minutes. The best view is at noon when sun shine directly on the ground. We had only 4 persons in the group. The upper canyon is rather narrow (1-2 meters tops), but it's ok and you don't really need much climbing because there are stairs everywhere). The guide plays national music, which is wonderful! Then go to Horseshoe bend (30 minutes roundtrip by foot). It's 10 minutes by car from the hotel. The sunset is really nice at Lone Rock where you can swim while watching the sunset. It's about 20 minutes by car from the hotel. It's better to be at least 40 minutes before the sunset on place. The water is warm even in October. Also the local Dam worths the visit (you can take a tour inside the dam). The last tour is at 4pm or so. It will take 1 hour.

They're ready for everybody at Page!

The room was the largest and nicest of our 3100 mile driving trip around the SW U.S.. They had all the amenities, and were conveniently located to everything from Hoover Dam, Lake Powell and the Grand Canyon. They even had lots of special long parking places to accomodate buses, and vehicles pulling trailers (i.e. boats for the lake). It lacked for nothing.

bad wifi, no shower curtain

This hotel had something to be desired...[...] There was no shower curtain in the bathroom, the toilet continued to run unless you went back to jiggle the handle, the wifi did not work in our room (had to go to lobby to connect only to have it disconnect once we returned to our room) and to top it all off the housekeeping ignored the "Do not disturb" sign on the door only to interupt "private time" (ok maybe we should have looked the door but we thought the sign would keep them out). Bad experience...will not be staying there ever again.

Big Room, Still Has Number in the Name

It seems all Budget hotels smell like stinky cleaning products, this did not disappoint. Rooms were big. The carpet was stained and worn, as were the furniture and linens. Wireless needed constant log-ins if it worked at all. For the most part, guests were quiet. About the only room we could find in Page, other travelers managed to avoid it.

Suitable average motel

Average motel. Clean with ample space. The air conditioning needed to be checked as the compressor had a hard time starting and woke us up during the night.
