dated room.
Staff was unprofessional. The room was something that you would get in a 1970s motel 6. I tolerated it for 1 night but that was it.

Wonderful stay
The staff at this hotel were excellent! We were driving in from California and didn't know what time we would arrive in Arizona. As it turns out, we were early, but we were allowed to check in early without an extra charge. They were also helpful with the best way to get to ASU. The buffet was outstanding as well. We would definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends, and we will stay here again if we ever pass this way again

DONT BE FOOLED!!!
When we arrived at the Dobson Ranch Inn. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES!!! Pictures look great on the internet, but look nothing like that in person. Our room was dark and musty. Everything was the bare minimum. The TV didnt work, the bathroom was the size of closet and the beds were discusting. Breakfast that is included, consists of overcooked eggs and cereal. This hotel claims that is has room service and poolside service, when it fact it DOES NOT! Everything about this trip was horrible. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ARIZONA EVER AGAIN BECAUSE OF THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy visitors to AZ
Potentially good, however......
Our room was pleasant enough, the pool/hot tub were nice ,the flowers/fountains were beautiful. However, the staff in certain areas was either non-existent or minimally accommodating. Brandy at the front desk did willingly help us switch rooms the second day which made our stay a bit more enjoyable. It appears, perhaps, this hotel may be struggling to provide adequate staffing, expected sundries, etc. In spite of this, we still had a wonderful time in AZ!

We enjoyed the Mesa Riverview, and Tempe Shopping Center the most, but if your into high fashion and designer brands there is The Fashion Square in Scottsdale.

Lots of good here!
We arrived at the Dobson Ranch Inn late on a Friday. They bummer is that after a long flight and lots of travel the hotel bar was not open and there was nothing near by to grab a bite or a drink. And, all the vending machines were sold out. So, at first glance - things did not look good. But, the next morning things looked brighter. The property is beautiful and in the sunlight and with regular business hours you can pretty much get any where and anything you need pretty easily. The front desk ladies could use a touch up on their personal skills - they were nice but not helpful. More "sorry, can't help" than let me see what I can do or offer a suggestion. The room was nice, no frills but good, clean and spacious. The water pressure was awesome! And, the pool was nice and looked clean - lots of people were using it so can't say first hand but they all seemed to be having fun. All in all it was a nice stay at a good price.

Good value, nice facility
Overall we had a very nice stay here, although it didn't start out that way. We came in on an evening flight and when I called to tell the clerk we had arrived, she stated that they had no rooms available, even though we had booked a couple of months in advance! When I had a fit, they came back and said they had found a room. The A/C needed adjustment and the water temp fluctuated, but otherwise, pleasant grounds, good breakfasts incl., clean, decent pool, convenient location.

Average
Older Hotel, but still nice! Gr8 location for where we needed to go. The exterior: gardening, flowers, lawn, water fountain, pool etc. were well maintained and looked really nice. The full breakfast was really nice and the staff were very pleasant/professional. The rooms however, were just average ours was not vacuumed, no trash bags in the trash cans and there was a large spider web in the corner above the door. :( Kinda creepy for our kids! We've stayed here before and have never been disappointed. Most likely to stay again and hope they spruce up the rooms!

More than expected
Our stay was very nice; relaxing enviroment. The only con was that when we checked in they infomred us that the toilet leaked the night before and our floor was wet; they had a light on it to dry it up faster after two days it was all dried up. Loved the location; easy access to the highway.
