The hotel room was nicely set up and had all of the basics which was nice. the maids did a great job cleaning i must say. the male owner at the front desk however was terrible. Not friendly or helpful in anyway.. very integrating and rude.. didn't
make you feel welcomed in anyway way.. kind of seemed controlling and gave off an uneasy feeling. your always being watched whether you run down to your car or drive across the street to the store he's there to sit on his swing and seems to watch your every move. Service deserves no stars but the room deserves two. not a place that I ever plan on returning to again.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Down the street was a sonic, denny's, jb's, tacobell, and a mexican/sushi place to eat along with a grocery store and kmart.
Hotel charged different amount than expected, which a person should know total at booking, not slapped w/taxes at checkin. Door to room stuck, had to body check it to get in.
Continental breakfast, "carbville", nothing for a low carb eater, sad
for this day and age! Question below asks who I'd recommend this place to? Not even an enemy! Others felt the same that we spoke to.
overall, this is a great place to crash for one night at this price as the location is near freeway junction, and you can grab food in nearby chain stores easily. The only shortcoming is, it was smelly from air conditioning but the smell falls
away after couple hours...
This motel was on the right side of the freeway for no train horn blowing through the night. It met all my key criteria for what I need in a motel. The manager put towels on our motorcycles the next morning because it had rained. So they really
tried to please and help us. The street the hotel was on was close to both fast food and nice dining which was on Andy Devine Hwy / Old Route 66. Perfect for what we needed.
