Maids SLAMMING on door 2 hours before checkout time
The experience I had at the Days Inn Kingman East was less than acceptable. I had driven a long distance the day before and needed some good rest. The checkout time for this motel is 11am. At 9am someone was SLAMMING and BANGING on the door. It
was housekeeping. I turned over in bed and said: "I'm trying to sleep - Go away!!" Over 10 minutes went by and they started BANGING on the door like a swat team about to break the door down on a house raid. I rolled out of bed and went to the door. When I opened it there was an older white housekeeping lady standing there. I asked her what time it was. She said 9. I asked her what time checkout time was. she said 11. I then said something like- IT'S NOT 11 yet! She replied: "I'm sorry, I didn't know". My question is what didn't you know? The answer to the question I just asked you? So, I will never be returning to this place again, and I'm going to tell any of my friends and relatives that ever have the need to stay in Kingman AZ on their way to a real destination to avoid it at all costs.
Hotel desk clerk was helpful as our key wouldnt work and she had to come let us in. One of us had to stay in the room at all times because the door lock was broken and wouldn't recognize the key. The microwave didnt have a glass plate which would
have been fine, except to turn mechanism still turned which would spill anything you tried to heat, such as coffee. It also sat on top of the mini fridge and the cord wouldn't reach the plug. We had to set it in the floor. These things are minor fixes, so wonder why they were not fixed, as it was a major inconvenience.
After a smooth check in, walked into a room that did not have the lights plugged into the wall, navigated myself to the bathroom to use the bathroom light for light in the room. Did further investigation to find the lamps were not plugged into
outlets. The coffee tables had a layer of dust, the carpet left my white socks black, shower had tons of hard water deposit on the walls, bathroom light stopped worked on last night there. Pool was dirty, had a layer of grim in the deep end. The the 4 foot mark in thepool it dropped of with out warnning to 6ft. Empty beer cans surrounding the pool.
