My experience at Canoa Ranch was great! The rooms are tidy and well kept. I also enjoyed the extra amenities such as the fireplace and firepit near the hot tub and pool on the cool, yet enjoyable evenings.
Also, the exercise room and spa were very
This place was very disappointing. On the outside things look great and the price is more than fair. Unfortunately you truly you get what you pay for. On the positive side the staff was very nice. That's it for the good. Now the bad. The place is
built very cheaply so the walls are paper thin. You hear everything from the hallways and the next room. The room I had was oddly shaped and faced inwards towards a very small atrium. Basically you face everyone's else's room. Unless you keep the curtains closed you have no privacy. It's also the first room I've ever been in where you have to walk thru the closet to get into the bathroom! Next, the A/C unit which kicks on every ten minutes is so loud you can't hear the TV or even talk on the phone. It woke me up several times during the night. It literally sounds like a vacuum cleaner in your room. I complained and all they said was they were aware of the problem and "management" was going to replace the units in the future. Great but not soon enough. I was on business so I needed a computer connection. There is no in-room wifi but there is cable access....on the nightstand on the other side of the room from the desk. Who dreamed that up? Finally, I should have known something was odd since the hotel charged me the full amount of my stay two days before I even checked in. Needless to say I won't be back....ever! If you REALLY want to stay here pay more to upgrade to a full suite and good luck.
