Nice, but expensive
I thought I booked a good deal through a 3rd party, but I paid more when I checked out. We didn't order room service or have any other special requests, and we even checked out a day early. Their rates changed at the time of booking, which was a huge shock. Either there is something wrong with this 3rd party underestimating or the hotel overcharging; either way, there is something definitely wrong with the advertisement. The beds were rock hard, but the overall atmosphere of the room and hotel was pleasant.

Good basic lodging near Grand Canyon
The room was very clean, spacious with two comfortable queen beds plus several chairs, and quiet. Other than a small swimming pool, the hotel lacks other amenities. There is no continental breakfast and apparently the only nearby restaurant that is open in the mornings is a McDonalds. The price was no bargain, but that is to be expected considering that it is in a "tourist town" with heavy demand for rooms by people visiting the Grand Canyon National Park (where lodging is even more expensive).

Road trip to Grand Canyon
Stayed at a room with 2 double beds. Excellent location, right outside the entrance to Grand Canyon South Rim. Rooms are a bit old, the AC/heating fan is loud. Breakfast is no included, but they offer a 10% discount at the Mexican restaurant next door. A good value overall.
