ups and downs
beds were horribly uncomfortable, TV was from the dark ages... overpriced cause of location.... never stay here again. Restaurant was expensive but food was excellent! Room had great balcony overlooking inside of hotel lounge... so much potential if only had comfy bed and nicer TV would be great value

Cheap Stay near Grand Canyon
Very dated accommodations, but inexpensive stay so close to south entrance to Grand Canyon. Difficult to find due to poor signage and being located behind other properties.

Below average service and facilities
Hotel services are below average. The staff is not cooperative and room quality is shabby. Hotel restaurant is pricey for the food they offer. They charged 15% gratuity on a buffet.

Ok
I booked ahead, and assigned a room with huge noise. After talking to the front desk and arguing for 2 hours, the room was switched to another one.

It is ok
The room I was assigned (booked ahead) was very noisy: continuous deep bumping, almost the floor was shaking (you can tell how loudly the noise is), but can not tell the noise source. After talking to the front desk, argueing for almost 2 hours, the room was switched to another one. I would say the hotel is ok, but not worth what you pay.

Great staff, but a ridiculous nightly rate for ave room.
I stayed with my family in March 2012 and I thought the room would be near the "resort" area of this hotel. It wasn't. We stayed in the back area, no view of anything except a parking lot in front and a fence, about 6 feet away from the back window. Room was clean, big bathroom, but comfort was ave at best. Not impressed at all. The room rate was $200 per night and that was ridiculous for what you actually received from this "motel" type of room. No indoor pool at this resort. Location was great, mile or so from the entrance of the GCNP. Restaurant was good, but buffet breakfast was very limited. Staff at the restaurant were pleasant and helpful.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
This place is alright if you want a good location near the GCNP entrance. Better bring a bank loan if you intend to stay here for any length of time. There are more reasonable priced hotels in the same location, so I will stay there in the future and not at this "resort".

Hidden Hotel off the main road in Tusayan
The brown hotel sign is hiding behind a statue and is far away from the road so it is kind of camouflaged by all the brown colors nearby. We went past it twice and finally found it after using GPS. The hotel concierge was excellent!!! Wonderful advice on sights to see nearby and routes to take on our way to Vegas from the Grand Canyon. They location is great and near the Grand Canyon & next door to a IMAX theater with a great Grand Canyon show. Great Place to stay.

Nice Enough
Good Stuff: Room was Clean, Quiet and Neat. Hotel location gave us easy access to the park and close to restaurants, shops etc.The staff was very good and very cooperative when called upon for assistance. Not So Good: Channel selections on TV were limited. Ice machine locations were not centrally located. Parking was quite limited.
