Mostly terrific

We had an upgraded King room. Being about 3 miles from the Canyon is super. Beautiful location, gorgeous decor, super friendly staff. The breakfast is very good, especially for a buffet. My only critiques would be worn out mattress is tough on someone with back issues and the pillows were thick and hard. The Grill is way overpriced, we had a nice steak at Big E's for about $11 more than a salad and sandwich at the grill. I would still stay here again simply because the pluses outweigh the minuses.

Convenience & Comfort

Good all around. We came at 1230pm and we were provided with our room though check-in time was stated as 4pm. Our room had a 2nd sink outside the bathroom, that was convenient. Breakfast was excellent. Proximity to the Canyon was well worth it for us as we had a long to-do list and only 24 hrs to spend at the park.

Dining tip: In Hotel

The hotel's restaurant offers a sunset special (was from 5-6pm when we were there) which is a short list of menu items but at a discounted price. We loved the quality of the food and the price was reasonable.

Very satisfied with this hotel

We were very happy with the proximity of this hotel to the Grand Canyon. Staff were helpful and accommodating. The food in the Coronado Room Restaurant was excellent, though somewhat pricey. The Buffalo Short Ribs were outstanding and the waitress was so personable. The bathroom was obviously a retro-fit and not up to the quality of the rest of the room, but over all we were pleased and would stay here again.

Great location

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in September 2014 and the location was excellent. The room was clean but a little dark but the bed was really comfortable. . The reception staff and the maitre d' in the restaurant did not have a very customer centred approach but our waiter was absolutely great. Overall we had a good stay.
