Unbelievable value!
We were surprised at what a great place this is. The room was wonderful...no signs of wear and great and tasteful southwest decor. The only drawback was no restaurant on site but it did not affect us. We did have breakfast at the golf course right next door where we could charge to our room. Also..low rates at the course and they loan clubs to people staying at the hotel for FREE!! We stayed here to be near Taliesin West where we were taking an early AM tour. It worked out fine and they gave us accurate directions. You can't beat it.

Private Getaway
It was a great place to experience the valley of the Sun. We had a terrific time while staying there. Enjoyed the fireplace and the private deck for watching the sunrise while away away from the crowds.

Beautiful location, it was great for one night.
It was the perfect location for me. The scenery was wonderful. The room was clean, but it did show its wear a bit. The sound on the TV didn't work on certain channels, the red chairs were a bit worn. Also the room numbers were very difficult to read at a distance, so it was necessary to get out of the car and go to read them. Consequently, it took awhile to locate the room. At the first location, the key didn't work, so we eventually got another room. But all in all, I was satified with it and thought It was a very good value.

Desert Mecca
Nestled into the (they call the mountains) buttes by Fountain Hills are these casitas overlooking the Phoenix skyline and the golf course. The staff is very helpful and friendly and you are greeted with cookies and ice lemon water throughout the day. There is an outdoor pool and spa that overlooks the golf course (great at night with the stars ablaze). The rooms are comfortable and large with microwaves and frigs. However, I have the feeling that this place has seen better days. Work needs to be done to keep the place looking fresh (wallpaper, stairs, pool liner, etc.) and the amenities are few. That is the con. The pro far outweighs it though - quiet and comfortable and a way to enjoy the desert complete with birds and coyotes, and magnificent sunrises.

Hike Phoenix & vicinity! Sedona WORTH the drive. Carefree is right up the road, though, and a sophisticated, welcoming small town, with great dining & lots of very nice Art.
