Like a Step Back in Time
We were in town for an NAU game. The hotel was close to the campus and was very quiet . It seemed that there were not too many guests there when we stayed. The staff was great, the room was immaculately clean and seemed newly decorated. The room decor was really fun. It was retro mid-century but in a brand new, just redecorated way. What a fun surprise and a great change from the usual hotel look. We had a very relaxing stay.

smelly and HOT
The minute you walk through the door, you smell mildew. STRONGLY! Up in the room...the thermostat was set at 87 and we couldn't figure out how to reduce it. We had to open a window! In the AM, the breakfast was bland! We will not go here again!

Great place to stay.
The staff was great, the room nice, and breakfast was tasty. We have three special needs children and I had a leg injury that required special accommodations. These guys went out of their way to help. I would definitely stay there again.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
DO NOT go to Lowell Observatory if you have children!!! Jerry, the Docent, was rude, impatient, and gruff with our kids; finally asking us to leave. We will never return!

Great Location
Overall it was an average to above average hotel. I am an airline pilot and have stayed at hundreds of hotels. The only complaint I have is noise. I was woken up numerous times during the night. I could easily hear the neighbors talking in the next room. I could also easily hear the neighbors in their bathroom. It sounded like they were in my bathroom with the door open. The third noise problem is less of the hotels problem, however, once every hour a car alarm sounded outside my window in the parking lot. The result was a night with little sleep. If the noise problem could be fixed this would be a great place to stay.

Nice hotel -- very clean, very
This hotel is very clean and very "worth it." We stayed in a 2ble queen and utilized the pull-out bed as well. The breakfast was just right consisting of cereals, juices, hot cereals, eggs, and even made-to-order waffles. It was a little over an hour from the Grand Canyon and only a half hour from Sunset Crater.

Probably won't stay there again
The room was clean and had 2 queen beds as requested, but we had to walk sideways to get by. The big screen TV was almost in the bed. The breakfast room was trashed by the kids bus tour that woke up just before us. The hotel was nice enough to put us on a different floor than the kids and tried its best to recover the breakfast supplies after the kids ate.

Decent hotel experience
Overall, the stay was good. I had a few minor complaints which included the fact that my bathroom latch was broken, and when i called maintenece to fix it, they never came. Additionally, I chose the room for the look of spaciousness, but it wasn't very spacious. The couch roll out bed, was quite uncomfortable, but given that it is a couch roll out bed, you cannot expect to much. I would reccommend this hotel.
