Howard Johnson
We were charged arround 85 bucks to stay here... we though we were ok but... First impression: the door didn't shut all the way or seal (but there were 3 different locks :) )the room reaked of urine and other similar odors, the floor and other basic structures (walls, flooring, caulking masking bad grout, etc) were highly deteriorated and falling apart, and I do understand vintage Rt. 66... but did they really need to keep the pillows from the opening year? And the kicker... there was a long hair on my towell ( I have red hair-- this was definately Not mine!!)

This is a budget hotel at a good
This is a budget hotel at a good price, especially if you stay for 2 or 3 nights. An easy drive to South Rim . Within Walking distance of Sizzlers. No bells & whistles here but clean and staff very accomodating.

HOJO IS A NO GO FOR ME !
I would have thought, since it was a Howard Johnson hotel, it would have been alot cleaner ! the furniture was dusty, the walls had water stains on them, the floor of the shower stall was dirty, the vanity sink looked like it was falling off the wall. i was only visiting Flagstaff for one night,but i did expect more ! we go to Laughlin alot, and always stay at Harrah's and never had a problem or a complaint !

Near the town hall in flagstaff, there are alot of little shops that is a short driving distance from Howard Johnson's hotel. we bought alot of unique gifts and had the best cup of coffee i have ever had at , late for the train coffee (that's the name of the shop). their address is 1071 e. old canyon court ,suite 100 ,flagstaff az 86001.

Clean room, nice bed. I only stayed for 7-8 hours, and it was cheap and perfect for that. Nice stop on the way through town. The website said a free breakfast was available, and it was not.

Cheap but sleepless in Flagstaff
They gave away our king size bed due to overbooking and we got 2 queens instead. Not so great. Also right nect to train track which ran 24/7, very very noisy all night long.

Once Was Enough
Most Noisy Motel I've Ever Stayed At
Trains come by a few times every hour throughout the night and blow their horns. Sounds like the train is coming right through your room. When the train sound is past, I heard the loud band playing at the nightclub next door. Wow! Recommended only for deaf travelers.

Don't book here
Front desk not staffed at all times, bad location and the trains run past and blow their horns every 10-15 minutes. I would not stay at this hotel again.
