Geat value, great location
The Highland Country Inn is a simple, clean, affordable place to stay in Flagstaff. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the Inn is located within walking distance of downtown Flagstaff bars and restaurants. I recommend the Highland Country Inn to anyone who's looking to save money on a hotel so s/he can spend it in town!

Birthday Trip
My husband and I drove to the Grand Canyon for my 40th birthday. Quick three night trip. We chose to stay in Flagstaff because there are more things to do than in Williams once the day trip to the Grand Canyon is done. Glad we did! This hotel was very clean and the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be how hard it was to get out of the parking lot on a busy week day morning. It is located on the corner of a very busy intersection. Very close to the Lowell Observatory (highly recommended) and close access to the freeway but far enough way to not hear the traffic at night. We would definitely choose this hotel again on our next trip through Flagstaff. Walking distance to the Flagstaff visitor's center and historic downtown. Also walking distance to a few great restaurants.

The Lowell Observatory is just a little over a mile up the hill from this hotel. It is well worth the stop. The Museum of Northern Arizona is a little over 3 miles way. Beautiful, well designed museum.

Nice place to stay
Most of the Flagstaff hotels with similar services and in the same neighbourhood were selling for way over $100 for a weekend we were in Flagstaff. The room was clean, and spacious. The hotel located in a walking distance to "downtown" area.

Great price, great stay
Our experience started off a tad shaky. We went to check in and there was nobody there. When we got to our room, the volume on the TV didn't work. This issue was quickly fixed as the staff replaced our TV within 20 minutes. The rooms were spotless when we got there. Comfy beds and a decent size bathroom. As with 90% of the hotels in Flagstaff, you will have to contend with train noise, but the rooms seemed well insulated and the train was a non-factor for us. Also, it's right near the NAU campus. We couldn't have picked a closer hotel to visit my sister. We would definitely recommend this hotel to people staying in Flagstaff. We're glad we picked this hotel off of the strength of the reviews.

Clean, comfortable, courteous
Our stay here was great. The motel is located close to everything there is to do in Flagstaff. The staff were friendly and courteous. The beds were comfortable. The room and bathroom was clean. Upon first glance it appears to be bottom of the barrel, but the things that matter and make it a pleasant stay are all there. We stayed in a higher starred hotel the night before in Sedona, and this place is much, much better than that one when it comes to the things that really count.

Great place to stay!
We were so glad that we chose the Highland Country Inn! Great location for visiting the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Jerome and Flagstaff. We loved having coffee or tea from the office, then walking to breakfast in the mornings and walking to dinner after a busy day. The gentleman in the office was very helpful! Our room was big, clean and comfortable. Thank you!

Good room for the price
The price of the room was great. Could not hear the train or traffic outside. The mattress was a little stiff and the pillows a little flat. Other than that if you need a cheap place to stay that is within wallking distance from downtown and right off the main drag, this place is it!
