Glad to have reservation

We arrived in the dark so the location made it easily found and check in was simple. Best I thought was how quiet the room was even though the parking lot was full. Hair dryer, coffee/tea maker, but not rich cofee, shampoo, lotion soaps, towels, remote, comfy arm chair with foot rest, extra space in the room, many drawers and hangers for unpacking, pleasing decor. The pool was on the main road side, but at night that was no problem- the jacuzzi was only warm at night and didn't have very powerful jets. Good tourist information was given freely, the free breakfast okay - good juices.

Toseehout ruins at the State Park had a great new musuem with infomation filled rangers and verbal displays and motion activated maps. The altitude of the ruins also let you enjoy the breeze and an shaded indoor room was like a cool basement.Snookie

Effficiency surrounded by beauty & convenience.

Located on 89A in the center of Cottonwood, this hotel well serves the basic needs of the weary sightseeing traveler. Prescott is to the south through the scenic Jerome Highway, and Sedona is to the North. I attended a conference nearby, and when I would return, the room was spotless, a hot shower and plenty of towells waiting, I stored my food in the fridge, went downstairs to use the free computer, took a dip in the free pool and returned to endless channels on the free TV. Did I mention free breakfast!!!

Bates Motel

I am a smoker so I requested a smoking room- when I checked in I expected the room to smell smoky but what I didn't expect was the lack of cleanliness and fresh bedding! After a long day of travel all I wanted to do was go to sleep so I pulled the bed spread down and saw what was supposed to be a white underside was actually beige!! The pillows were so old and lumpy and smelled of body odor and morning breath as well as the sheets and blanket. The bed felt more like a cot- it was so thin that I felt like I was sitting on spring coils alone. Also, there were kinky hairs (if you know what I mean) on the bathroom floor and I haven't even used the facilities yet!! GROSS!! As tired as I was I went down to the office and told the manager that there was no way I could sleep in such a dirty, lumpy bed and pillows that smelled like dirty person funk. First he tried to blow it off as smoke smell so I proceeded to tell him it wasn't smoke smell. Then he said he had a cold and couldn't smell; I demanded a room change and he told me to leave instead. This was now after 10:30 pm and told him I didn't have the time to look for another motel as I was there on business and had an early morning appointment so he reluctantly gave me another room. The bed still felt like a cot but the odor wasn't as bad- mind you it was still present in that room as well. I told him it is long overdue for new bed linens or at least invest in some Febreeze to freshen the bedding up some- he didn't aknowledge my advice at all. I have NEVER been in a smellier motel in ALL my life I was so grossed out that I slept on a blanket I purchased on the airline and put my hands on top of the pillows so my head didn't directly touch the pillows. As I stayed there I noticed they had their whole family working there; a teenage boy cleaned the rooms most of the days and I still saw things like drink spill spots on the furniture and hairs on the bathroom floor as well as unvaccuumed rugging after he supposedly cleaned the room!! GROSS!! I will never use your site for travel again as I can not trust that you will promote clean and comfortable stays. I am also going to contact Super 8 to make them aware of their location in Cottonwood, AZ and also I would prefer to be reimbursed rather than offering me free nights because I won't be able to trust that Super 8'S have cleaner more comfortable motels elsewhere.

Perfectly Decent

Our purpose of traveling was not to spend lots of time at a hotel. We needed a well-located place to rest and shower, along with some vittles for breakfast. It was perfect!

Clean Motel

Good location-every type of business and service available. Close to Sedona, but out of the traffic problems that occur there. Motel was efficiently run, room was cleaner than most.

clean and affordable

Over all it was a nice motel for the money. Everything worked and the room was clean. The location worked well for me. The only problem was the walls betwen the rooms are thin....you can hear all of your neighbors most all of the time.
