An experience worth having.

The hotel itself is located within minutes of the city but offered a feeling of seclusion. The room was nice, it offered a very comfortable bed and large bathroom with both a standing shower and luxurious tub. The design of the room felt somewhat dated but it matched the astetic of the hotel overall. We ejoyed the three pools and two hot tubs available. The staff was attentive by the pool and we were served some tasty drinks such as the Arizona Sunrise. The room service we later ordered was prompt and savory. I had the burger with carmalized onions and my wife had the chicken sandwich, both were satisfying. We walked around the resort on occasion and were pleased with the design of the landscape, there are also a few boats available which take visitors around on the man made river which can be found throughout the resort. We were thankful that we booked a reservation with Kai, which is the acclaimed restaurant found within the resort. Kai offered us top notch service, a romantic meal, and a wonderful menu. The restaurant and staff attempt to introduce visitors to the Pima indian culture and some of their traditional dishes. The traditional dishes have been altered by european technique to create very unique tastings. Nearly everything we tasted had been prepared perfectly and tasted superb so I will only list my favorites. The Basil martini was well made but we both favored The Great Fruit Martini, it was delicious. My favorite dish during the meal was the medium rare buffalo steak which was served with a remarkable sauce over a layer of cherizzo. The only course which was more amazing was my wifes New York Strip, which was the best steak I have ever tasted. The thought of the flavor makes my mouth water even now, you must try. The rest of our courses did not disapoint either from the Brazillian bass to the rare coffee we ended our meal with offered by a local business called Cartell who had obtained the coffee from an award winning coffee bean farm in El Salvador. The price of the resort was worth the level of service and luxory we enjoyed. I would recommend visiting this resort.

Do not let the price or level of sophistication at Kai prevent you from enjoying the experience. You will almost certainly walk away new flavor combinations that you will be glad you shared with your palet.

Best resort deal around

I've stayed at the finest resorts in Phoenix (and there are quite a few), and the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass is exceptional... in quality and in value. Beautiful surroundings and lovely rooms and fabulous pools.... What more could you want?

Good with the dirty room services trays

The property is beautiful and the rooms are a good size. The bathroom included a shower with a separate tub and the honor bar had a small fridge that was a plus. The hallways were frequently littered with the trays and garbage from room service. It was not uncommon to walk down the hall pass 10 trays waiting to be picked up. One night we did not receive maid service and had been out of the room from 9:30am till around 3pm. All in all we had a great trip but the property was not quite the experience I would have expected.

very nice

We stayed here on the night of New Years eve 2010. It was a very nice hotel. They need to bounce $100 on your credit card at check in. The resort is very nice, I didn't use the spa or golf course but the resort is nice with hiking trails all around. Be careful, if you get a non smoking room, they are serious about the NON SMOKING, if you have a friend come with that does smoke, make sure they go downstairs outside of the room. Even if they catch you smoking on the balcony, they will charge you cc $300 as a "cleaning fee". It didn't happen to me, but there is a sign that warns you. Best thing about this place is they shuttle you back and forth for free to the casino and back. It's a 24-7 shuttle and not a bus, but a luxury Lincoln Navigator, very nice.

Nice stay

We enjoyed our stay here but the prices for drinks and food is very high. Be prepared to spend about $40 on breakfast for two at Ko'sin their restaurant. They do have a little coffee bar with muffins and that can be a bit less expensive so go that route if watching your money. pools are not heated and are too cold to use- even in the desert. So... would I come back again- probably not.

The Best We Have Yet Experienced

We mixed business with a chance for relaxation. We are building a home in the area and spent a lot of time at the construction site and in meetings with the builkder. We also had 'our time' to relax and enjoy the grounds and services of the hotel. The staff (at ALL levels) were friendly and very helpful. Every need that we had was satisfied during our stay. Our last venture was at a nearby casino/hotel, and there was no comparison between the two on a quality of service/accommodations level. This is where we should have stayed previosly.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

We dined in the surrounding areas outside of the hotel in Chandler. Obviously the cost was considerably less while the quality was similar, personal preferences considered. We stayed far out in the Pima Wing, and found the parking at the Aji Spa to be most conveient to coming-and-going. Being close to the Inspirational Train was especially nice, as we found it perfect for a pleasant and scenic walk, especially in the morning.
