10 yr Anniversary

Don't come expecting the 4 Seasons, the cabins are older and in need of some cosmetic care. However, the staff does a great job of keeping the rooms clean and made accomidations when asked. The resort is quite and secluded. Great, not perfect, but great for getting away and being alone.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Remember the island has a 24% tax, plus it is secluded and you can't walk (road is too dangerous) to anything off resort so unless you rent a car, $55 a day plus $20 license fee, you are at the mercy of the cab drivers, not the most honest people on the island, negotiate this cost before you get it. $15 - $20 one way depending on where you go.

Location Perfect

My stay was very nice.. The view from my room was beautiful, looking right out on the beach. From a review before I asked for a room close to the office/restaurant. So I felt safe walking to my room at night, there is security there till 6 a.m. The man will walk you to your room if you want him too. Yes, the bathroom could use some updating but everything worked & I didn't spend a lot time in room. Had a great breakfast at restaurant, service was good. I would stay there again for sure.

Family Spring Break

Cute cottages right on the beach. We were happy with what we got. It was exactly what we expected. We loved just relaxing on the beach or in the hammocks and enjoying the mountain views when you looked back from the water. The rental facility for bikes and snorkel equipment made it easy to get what you needed and the hotel got a tour guide for Mt. Nevis too. We would come again.

Oualie beach resort

Nice location but a Motel 6 in the states would be the equivalent or likely even nicer. The cottages are located right on the water which is great, and the high-speed Internet 1.5m down and 800kbs up was sufficient to Skype with great video quality anywhere in the resort. However, the rooms need serious TLC. Just about every window opener was broken, The doorknob was very loose and I personally readjusted my doors so they would open and close freely. (Pays to carry a screwdriver) The small 20 inch color television was adequate with mostly US channels. I'm sure my six-year-old daughter would love it there. There are lots of lounge chairs and hammocks in the trees. The rooms are clean enough and having the beach right outside your door is definitely a plus. The food in the restaurant was good but very pricey. (Lunch was $80 for two) It is cheaper to drink beer $1.50 a draft or so than to have a coke $6 a can. enjoy

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

go to the Golden Rock Plantation for lunch. The food is great and it is absolutely beautiful. Also try Indian summer for outstanding Indian cuisine. You will not be disappointed. Coconut Grove is another good destination!

Fantastic location

It's a delightful resort in a great location. The staff were very helpful and friendly. However, the bathroom really needed updating. Everything works fine but the taps leaked, there was rarely hot water ... My cottage was at the end of the property and very quiet and isolated. Next time I would ask to be closer to the restaurant /reception area so I wouldn't have to walk along the entire property alone at night. Granted, they do provide flashlights to walk around with at night.
