Americas Best Value Inn

The room was described as recently renovated. It did seem to have new carpet, drapes, shower curtain, lamps, fresh paint, etc. However, the room still had the faint smell of stale cigarette smoke from previous smokers and there were burns around the sink from people leaving a cigarette burning while at the bathroom sink. The elevator was dirty but it worked well and given that my room was on the 3rd floor, I was glad that it was there. I was happy to see that the room had a coffee brewer, microwave and mini-frig (and in-room safe). All were clean and in good working order. I used the mini-frig and microwave for several meals during my stay. There is a Kroger grocery store less that 1/2 mile away. It was easy to get the downtown conference center from this property. It is about 2 1/2 miles from downtown. I was seeking budget lodging vs. the $150 per night at the downtown location. The lighting in the room is terrible. They use coil florescent bulbs in the lamps which may save money but what is supposed to be comparable to a 60 watt incandescent bulb, simply is not. If they are going to use the coil bulbs, they need to switch to the 100 watt coils. Otherwise, you will find it hard to work in these rooms due to the lack of good lighting. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was well serviced daily. There is also a gas station and a post office close by (less than 1/2 mile). The towels were of a good quality (large and soft). The bed pillows should have been replaced. They seemed old, flat and lumpy. The room lacked a place to put my bag (luggage rack or flat dresser top). I did request a luggage rack and they did bring one to the room. Overall, the room and location was acceptable, given the price point. It is not the type of property that I would stay at for a vacation but it was fine for a place to sleep, shower and dress while in town for a conference.

This was our mini honeymoon trip and it was spetacular! I recomend this hotel to all future travelers! Thank you!

Upon opening the door, the smell.... The light switches didn't work; the vanity countertop pulled away from the wall that the coffee maker was about to slide off; took a shower and ended up in ankle deep water that took 20+ minutes to drain; pictures splattered with who knows; scuff marks all over the walls; overall the worst I've been in...but the WIFI worked, lol. Just don't stay here!!!!

the hotel mangager [...] was very helpful and kind...when i go back to arkansas i would love to stay there again..the whole staff was pleasant and courteous.

I visited my boyfriend on the AFB. The location was very good right off the highway so it was easy to get to places. However, they didnt have free internet in the rooms you had to go to the lobby and use one of their computers. Also, the pool was supposed to be open three weeks prior to my trip, they didnt open it until the day before I left. The cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful.

All in all it was fair. Both rooms were supposed to be non-smoking, but one had the smell of smoke. I realize you can't control what people do, but it needed to be aired out and/or some air freshener.

If you just want to stop for rest, it might be a good place because it is beside the highway. However, if you want to live comfortable, you would be disappointed. The paper cup and bedspread, sheet are awful!

This motel was very scary, and disheveled! The surrounding neighbor is also frightful, and dangerous looking. I went to a nearby truckstop and they warned me not to stay at this motel. I ended up leaving, and never returned for my nights stay. The hotel mgmt refused to refund my money.

The hotel was decent for the price. It's not the ritz or anything, but it is quiet and clean. The staff was very friendly and accomidating and tried to help you as much as they could as per your request. The hotel itself needed some maintenence, but there was nothing much to complain about. You get what you pay for and with this you get a budget stay that is quiet and restful with a very friendly staff all around.

We went to the Edgefest concert. The hotel staff were very courteous. The room was clean, comfortable and all was excellent w/ the exception of the mini-fridge. It didn't cool very well, but no biggie. Thank you, TravelLodge
