Perfect price and location
We visited this hotel during the Thanksgviving weekend. It is in walking distance to the Riverwalk. There are several restaurants and shops within just 2 or 3 blocks. The Clinton library is close by a little longer walk. The staff were very friendly at all times. The hotel is clean and modern. We would definitlely stay there again.

Convenient location
The hotel is within walking distance of the Clinton Library, the trail along the river, and other tourist attractions in the Rivermarket area. Spacious, spotlessly clean rooms, a large breakfast area (and ample standard breakfast, available from 6 AM until 10 AM) in the lobby, and an attractive patio with tables and chairs adjacent to the small swimming pool make for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere in the hotel is relaxed and casual. If you're looking for elegance or character, try the Peabody or the Capital.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
The Flying Fish, a short walk from the hotel, offers abundant portions of excellent Southern cuisine (fried fish, po'boy sandwiches, fried okra, hush puppies, gumbo, etc.) at reasonable prices in an authentic old-fashioned-diner setting. It's one of the few restaurants open on Sunday afternoon in the Rivermarket district.

Very good stay
We have had great experiences with Hampton Inns in other locations, and this one was no different. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. The hotel itself was very clean. While our room (king bed) was not huge, it was very comfortable and clean. We made good use of the in-room refridgerator (ate at Dizzy's a block away...was very good with huge portions), the flat screen tv, the good workout facilities, and the pool was also nice. We parked for free on the weekend, and the neighborhood seemed safe. There is plenty to do in the Rivermarket. We especially liked the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning (after our good breakfast at Hampton Inn) and the cute shops on the main strip. We had a very nice stay.

Nice Hotel
After 8 hours of driving, the hotel was a pleasant place to stop. The bed was comfortable, the room, nicely decorated. I had a very restful sleep as the motel is located away from highways and railroad tracks. Great value.

Hampton Inn Downtown Little Rock, AR
Everything was more or less acceptable, with some features better than others (LOVED the beds, for instance). However, when we called in for directions to the hotel on our way in from Memphis, the young receptionist told us to take exit "141B" off of I-30. We were caught unawares by how quickly the exit came up (we hadn't even crossed the river into Little Rock yet), and nearly wrecked the car in order to make the exit (which we almost missed). We pulled over immediately after we were safely off the ramp, and as soon as we could calm down and catch our breath, called again. This time she told us we must be confused, lost, or on the wrong highway; and furthermore that she couldn't possibly be mistaken, as she had "given these directions to people hundreds of times." After a considerable amount of back-and-forth on the subject, the receptionist was apparently corrected by a coworker. She reversed herself and said, "Oh, I'm sorry, it's 141A." That exit is of course on the other side of the river in Little Rock proper, and turned out to be the correct exit. At no time, though, did she seem to be genuinely remorseful about the inconvenience--not to mention danger--she had put us through. Except for that one individual, everyone was very gracious and accommodating. We would recommend the hotel, but would strongly advise getting directions from a more reliable source.

Sheena's stay in LittleRock Hampton inn
The room was clean and spacious. Its really useful having a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Good hotel location. I was on a Business trip. There was nothing missing that would have made my stay enjoyable. During my previous trip, I stayed at Hampton inn as well.
