Considered "the front porch of Little Rock", the Capital Hotel has been a beacon to Southern culture since it first opened its doors in 1870. Originally famous for having the first electric light fixture in a Southern hotel and for its elevator large enough to fit a horse, the Capital has constantly reinvented itself over the last 140 years to always represent the best of the South for each time. Its 94 spacious guestrooms, including four suites, are designed to create a home-away-from-home feeling with fresh flowers brightening every room, along with custom-designed mattresses, spacious closets, floor-to-ceiling windows, 14-foot-high ceilings, exquisite subway-tiled tubs, and spectacular views of downtown Little Rock. The Capital offers two dining options – Ashley's and The Capital Bar and Grill – both drawing upon the region's finest ingredients and flavors. Five state-of-the-art meeting rooms accommodate groups of up to 150 guests.

Beautiful hotel

The hotel was beautiful and very plush. We went to Riverfest so the hotel was very close to the events going on there. Also the food was very good. I would definitely go back.

Charming, Historic Boutique Hotel

What a great hotel! The absolute best in all of Arkansas. Service was impeccable...all staff knowing your name and eager to help to make your stay enjoyable! Absolute gorgeous hotel and guest rooms with an amazing history. VERY reasonably priced for the quality. Only drawback was room service menu not extensive for 24 hour dining and no coffee in room. Capital Grill, in house dining, was fabulous and great atmosphere! Will definitely ONLY stay here when traveling to Little Rock.

Very nice, would stay here again.

The dinner at Ashley's was awesome, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for a night downtown, all the attractions are in walking distance.
