A totally disappointing motel 6

I'm not sure were some of these people with these good reviews stayed , but it was not the same Austin Hotel in Hot springs that I stayed at. The hotel advertisement is false. It says and prides itself on having Luxurious accommodations with exceptional service. Well, this Hotel was far from the 5 star hotel that it would like you to believe. The front of the house looks acceptable, but once you step into the hotel elevator you become fearful of what you may see next. Everything about the hotel elevator is dated, dingy and dirty. And then the hallway to the room doesn't change your opinion, also dated and dingy.( NOT WHAT I THOUGHT I WAS PAYING FOR). Next the Grand disappointing entrance into the room. Everything in this room is dated. There is a pillow size stain on the floor as you enter the room, then the T.V. stand looked second hand from someone discarded trash, T.V. was analog with basic cable only. The T.V.'s on and off buttons were broken(thank goodness there was a remote). And the bed was outdated, pillows were stained with who knows what and covered with less than 200 thread count pillow cases.( You could see the stains through the pillow cases). WE requested new pillows an were told that they did not have any more new pillows. There were other spots thru out the room on the carpet. And the sofa/sleeper and chairs in the room were also very dirty, dingy, stained and out dated. I also visited the hotels spa, it is also outdated. The tub that I had appeared to have dirt in the bottom of it, but it turned out that the tubs enamel was chipping away. The towels and sheets all need replacing. The Hotel was a ghost town and it seem like we were the only guest on our floor. The restaurant appeared empty Wed. and Thurs., and so was the bar. The ceiling tile thru out the hotel had stains and appeared dirty. We were not made aware of, nor did we see any renovations going on as referred to in other comments. But this hotel is in need of being gutted and remodeledI would not recommend this hotel to anyone. As a matter of fact I am letting everyone I know, that they should stay far away from this hotel. I though at a $110 a night, I was going to get fine dining and the luxury they promised in their advertising. This was a much need getaway for my husband and I, and we needed to be pampered, but we got disappointment and more depressed. We wanted to leave the same day, but our reservations were made and paid for 3 weeks in advance [...]and they were non-refundable. The disappointment of the hotel set the tone for our trip, which made it a drag.

Not good

The hotel needs work. Looks good outside, bad inside. The toilet did not work correctly so my wife and I had to go down stairs to the public facilities to do #2. Told the staff, not fixed. Had cigarette holes in the carpet and the bathroom was small and old. The shower was small and didn't work well. I will never stay there again...

Austin Hotel - Hot Springs, ar

We arrived at 8pm after spending the day at the horse races only to find a line to check in. The hotel only had one person behind the counter and he was taking calls as to why the rooms werent cleaned. In fact, he almost gave our room to someone else while I was standing in line (person had no reservation). This hotel is not prepared for a crowd and I won't stay there again. The rooms were older, dirty, and noisy. Never again.

Not so GREAT!

Arrived around at 5:30 was told system was down and we could not check in, it would be 10 min. or so. AT 6:45 or so we were finally in our room, system was not down, they had no clean rooms. We were very disappointed that we were not told the truth. We would of understood. Only 2 towels and 2 wash cloths. We will not stay there again.
