La Quinta Inn Ste Hot Springs

A late start in planning a weekend of horse racing, we ended up booking a couple of rooms at this hotel for a visit to the horse races over St. Patrick's day weekend. Initially we were disappointed our usual hotel was booked, but were pleased with the accommodations during our stay. The rooms were updated fairly recently. Very clean and beds were comfy. Location was a little further out than I expected but still convenient and the complimentary breakfast was pretty good. Given the hotel rates were cheaper than our usual place, and it is pet friendly - we will definitely use again.

Took a weekend trip to Hot Springs for the Sunbelt Conference basketball conference and picked this hotel because it was the best of the hotels that still had vacancy when I began my search. Many of the area hotels were already full. The hotel looks to have been recently renovated. Everything was in working condition and nothing looked extremely dated. The bathroom was spacious and nice. My room had a very large TV that could be turned to face the bed or the sitting area by the sofa. Everything was clean and the hotel staff was very friendly at check in. Like most LaQuintas, they offer a free breakfast in the morning where you can make yourself a waffle, have a muffin and juice, or a bowl of cereal. The location on Central Ave makes it convenient for getting to a lot of areas in Hot Springs. Central Ave. is what I would consider the main road of the town. There is a shopping mall less than 1000 meters from the hotel and the Oaklawn Horse racing track is a short drive away. The only thing I didn't like was waking up to, what sounded like a family of trapeze artists practicing a trampoline routine in the room above me. I have no other theories on why they were jumping up and down so much. I don't blame the hotel for this. It was just bad luck being near the hotel guests that happened to be positioned above me. I would consider my stay here to be a good value and I would stay here again.

The hotel was nice they were doing some remodeling but nothing major. The problem was we could here everything above, and outside of our room. The walls seemed really thin we heard conversations all around us and we had rooms on three different floors. The guy at the front desk was really nice and friendly.

The only complaint was that the fitness center was very limited for the level of work-out training my husband is involved in. The room was spotless, and very comfortable. The free breakfast was varied, and delicious. The Dining Area and Hotel Lobby were very clean, and attractive. The daily cleaning service was great! We would stay here again!!

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff and a great location.

We attended the Arkansas Derby (which we do every year) with three other couples. Our stay was very enjoyable - the service at Holiday Inn Express good.

When I booked the room, I said it would be for 2 adults and 1 child. The pull-out bed for the child was not suitable. She had to sleep on the floor. You could feel the rails of the pull out through the mattress, the mattress was so thin. For price of room, very disappointing. Probably would not book with Holiday Inn & Suites again

The two queen beds were so worn out that they loudly squeaked at the slightest movement. Worse, there was noise all night from a car lot p.a. system next door, where there was a radio station playing rock music all night long. When I politely told the clerk about the beds the next morning she said, "I know, we've been complaining for three years, but THEY won't do anything about it." Then when I told her about the car lot radio she said in a put-upon voice,'Well, you'd have to go over there yourself to complain. There's nothing WE can do about THAT." I politely told her it wasn't my problem either, since we wouldn't be staying there again. You'd think that with dozens of hotels in Hot Springs, and a 90% vacancy rate in the winter 'THEY' would figure out that customer comfort and service is crucial for repeat business; but I guess 'THEY" just don't care. Too bad, the hotel was ok otherwise.

The Holiday Inn Express is in a GREAT location. Very close to the Hot Springs downtown district, and also quite close to many restaurants in the area. The room was decent - typical of a Holiay Inn - nothing special, but clean and comfortable.
