Country charm at budget Hot Springs hotel
The Country Inn and Suites By Carlson in Hot Springs is located close to many attractions, including the Oaklawn Park Racetrack and Casino. Mostly good, but not super.
Located near plenty of excellent eateries and not too terribly far from just about anything you might want to see and do in the Hot Springs area. All parts of the hotel I visited were kept neat and clean. The complimentary breakfast, though not exemplary, was pleasantly stocked and was plenty to get us going in the morning and, I appreciated being able to grab a newspaper each morning. The two small problems I encountered are nothing that would keep me from recommending this hotel to others. One is the fact that the in house Physical Fitness facility is not at all as described in the guest book located in the room. The other is that at 7:00am one morning a landscaping crew began trimming hedges with gas powered shears and blowers right outside the window. Since I really needed to get up and get going anyhow, I wasn't overly upset, but it may be better to wait another hour or two prior to starting such activities. I will finish by saying that overall I had a pleasant, reasonably priced stay at this hotel.

Pleasant Get Away
The staff was very friendly and the waffle breakfast was awesome!!!! Great location for us to just get away for a few days!!! The Blue Monkey Bar & Grill was right next door and definitely worth visiting.

Weekend Getaway
The hotel is in a great location and the kids loved the pool. It was clean and quiet and breakfast was great as well. The fitness room only had a treadmill and a water cooler but no cups. But overall it was a great trip.

Hot Springs
It's Okay
Not enought room in the breakfast aera. Pool too small, and air condition was not controlled very good. It was too hot and then too cold.

Great service...we'd go again.
My husband & I had a really good time while in Hot Springs. It was wonderful to have the motel already reserved...we just checked in. The service was great & the room was very clean. We rode the duck ride, it was awesome & ate @ the Fisherman's Wharf (great catfish). We also visited the Wax Museum...it was great also. Loved walking & visiting the shops in downtown Hot Springs (beautiful city)! We could only visit a few days, wish we could have stayed longer. It was so nice for my husband & I just have a few short days alone to refresh ourselves. Thanks for everything!

The Fisherman's Wharf has excellent food. Their catfish was great and they give you plenty food for your money! Great service also.
