Coutyard Marriott Fort Smith AR is new, beautiful with a full breakfast and cocktail bar. It was a good experience, not just because it was my aunts 100th birthday celebration/Love Fest. Also a small pool and hot tub and I enjoyed the gym. The breakfast servers/cooks received us warmly as each time we came down for breakfast our group would expand measureably as other family members would join. Stay above 2nd floor.

History museum was interesting. Fort Smith was significant in keeping the law, some familiar movies were filmed based on Fort Smith. And it may sound odd but viewing a real gallows was facinating.

Good quality and relaxing atmosphere
This is the only Marriott I've foundd that did not include the breakfast buffet int he room price. Few dinner foods.And only one computer in the "business center" Atmosphere was wonderful. nice airy, open well color conrdinated lobby conducive to small group conversations. Buffet staff was wonderfully attentive. All hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. In walking distance of convention center.

a.Unlike other Marriotts breakfast buffet was NOT included in room price. b. Very close to convention center. c. VERY quiet town, shopping is closer to the other Marriott(Residence Inn) d. Look for the magazine in the room to find great things to do, otherwise you won't know entertainment is there. e.The town is much better than in the 60's.. but it is still in the South.

Spring Break 2010 The Farm
The Hotel was great. Great entry way to the Lobby. The room was large and my family seem to move about without stepping on each other. My family and I were not satified with the restaurant the was in the hotel. Decide to goto this restaurant base on it being in the hotel and we have been driving all day and did not feel like going back into the vehicle to go and get something to eat. The service was slow and the options on the menu were limited. The server was nice but the wait time to eat was long.

Typical JQH hotel
Spent one night while passing through town, just long enough to visit a few friends and relatives. The hotel was clean and nice, a typical John Q Hammons hotel. The breakfast was too expensive, especially when you have to fix it yourself.

The best restaurants in town are in the downtown area, a short drive or long walk from the hotel. All of the chains are further east along Rogers Ave.

Good Stay
I have in-laws in a near by town and we stay at the Courtyard in Fort Smith everytime we come, minimum of 6 times a year. This time the service was actually the BEST we have ever had, it is always good but I would say exceptional at this stay. The beds...you absolutely cannot beat them the most restful sleep we have (even more than our own bed at home). It was a little noisy on Friday night, lots of Auburn fans in for the Arkansas football game, but they came back Saturday night, defeated :) and it was quite as it normally is. I will not stay at another hotel other than this Courtyard in Fort Smith.

Nice hotel, thin walls.
Our stay was great but was disappointed with the loud noise coming from the third floor. The city was hosting a little league world series tournament and there were kids on the loose running down the halls at all times of the day especially at night well into 11 pm. We were on the second floor and we could hear kids running down the hall on the third floor, yes we were in our room with the tv on and still could hear them. It rained so we were looking forward to the indoor pool only to find it filled with kids. Then decided to get a workout in and found it also filled with kids playing on the machines. That ruined the stay at the hotel, will never do this again. Will call next time to see if there is any kid activities going on.

Nice breakfast buffet
Nicely appointed room with very friendly staff. We really enjoyed the varied breakfast buffet in the mornings-omlets and waffles were great!
