Needs Major Rennovations and Maintenance

Other sites have rated this property as great. My experience is as follows: - carpet very outdated and probably never been replaced. - shower curtain had mold and mildew. - new sleep number bed (terrible!). the "number" on the controller didn't work and felt like sleeping on a blow up mattress - the comforter was several years old and stiff - vines growing on the entrance to the room and wood separating. - staff: extremely friendly

Time-saving tip: In Hotel

There is a $5 per person Limo service that will take you anywhere on Main, easier to pay for the service than find parking away from the hotel.

You get what you pay for

The only good things about this hotel were location and the view. The view was amazing and it was right on the main strip, but I would not stay here again. They had a pool but it was absolutely disgusting which was ok for the time of year. They also had a secluded hot tub that had no water in it. I was a little bummed about that. If you plan on taking a hot shower...forget it. About 3 minutes of warm is all you will get. There were no amenities provided. It's a good thing we only stayed one night or I would have been searching for a new place.

If your a nightgoer, try the Tiki Torch Bar! It's just up Spring street and is a small yet fun place to hang out.

Will stay again!

Beautiful setting. Needs a renovation but it seemed as though they were in the process of renovating a little at a time. There are a lot of rooms so it may take a while. We never saw any spiders or bugs in the room. There was no moldy or musty smell in the room. Overall, we were satisfied and will stay there again next time!

Never Again

The first room we were in reeked of stale cigarette smoke and urine. The second room didn't smell bad, but it wasn't very clean. There were powder handprints on the bathroom door and cobwebs on the bedside lamps. The room was on the back side of the hotel, down a flight of stairs. There were NO outside lights. We had to go down the stairs and to our room in the dark. Totally unsafe. We will not stay there again.

Good for overnight stay.

We were in Eureka Springs to attend a wedding. The sink area was a little small for 2 women to get ready with make up and hair. The beds were very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was reasonably priced and delicious. The staff was very friendly.

Nice Place!!

Just returned from Eureka Springs and stayed at the 1876 Inn. First the good. The Staff were wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. We had a Jacuzzi King room that was very clean. There was an outdoor fire pit near our room that was very cool. There was also covered parking which was nice as we came on motorcycles. The negatives. The room decor was dated. The pool was usable but the water was a bit cloudy. The grounds keeping around the hotel was really poor and needed a lot of work. Also the hotel description said there was a Motorcycle Wash area. If there was one we never saw it. We would stay there again. A good value hotel!

Cheap is the word

This hotel is located in a good spot in Eureka Springs and is right on the trolley line. It was very cheap at $64 a night during October. Caveats are: Room smelled like mold and carpet was stained, sheets didn't fit, room heater had not been cleaned and belched dust out when we started it, no blankets on the bed, just the spread and ill-fitting sheets. Some of the popcorn texture on the ceiling fell off onto the floor while we were there. Good things were, price, location, maids did well cleaning up and put sheets on that fit our second day, and the bathroom water pressure and heat for the shower were fine. I think this is okay for the money if you bring your own sleeping bag and pillow and watch out for the stuff that comes flying out of the heater/air-con unit. Also, slippers are a good idea. I would not spend any more money to stay here than I did though. There is a restaurant on premises but we did not eat there. Eureka Springs does not seem to have many good eateries.
