Yellowhammer Inn

I thought I was going to this wonderful resort, filled with amenities, luxury, and comfort, but NO! First off when it says best kept secret, it's a secret! NO ONE had ever heard of it. We go into a private community, while everyone stairs and wonders why you are there, you drive to the very back, and there is your hotel, which by the pic looks like a little warm inviting cottage type, but its not, and the king size room they show, is nothing like the room I was put in! It also says they have a golf and tennis court, but they do not, the private Golf and tennis club does, which btw they can make you a reservation for that restaurant but no blue jeans, only dress clothes. They say they have a pool, they don't, the yacht club next door does, and it's $10 a day per person. They say explore our 6 acres, can't really do that either, bc your restricted from certain areas. We also couldn't go out on the balcony, due to construction, or routine touch ups, not sure, but work being done to both the inside and outside. Our room was only serviced one time in the 3 nights we stayed there, although we had put the sign on the door for our room to be serviced every day. BTW I took my 2yo with me, it claims it has amenities for children, there was nothing! Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money, and go to a hotel that actually delivers on what it says! Bc this one DOES NOT by FAR!!

Nothing IS what IT say's IT IS! No so called phone in the bathroom, no jacuzzi, no hbo, no pool (unless you pay $10 per person per day at another location, no tennis, no golf, no relaxation! It is was nothing like IT said! It was a waist of my money and time.

I think this could have been a nicer trip if I had upgraded. The basics provided me with a small room with the coffee pot in the bathroom. I believe if I had purchased the extras, by visit could have been nicer. My advise is pay a little extra and get a larger room. The pictures are for the better room. The room I had was like an attic room/wifi reception and cell phone reception was bad.

I was in town over the weekend for a wedding and needed a place to stay. After checking all the local rates, this was the least expensive place that I was willing to stay. I was very pleasantly surprised at how tucked away the hotel is, resulting in a great quiet night's sleep. An added charm to Yellowhammer Inn is that, until they make changes, each room had an actual key instead of a swipe card. Will definitely be staying here again!
