Motel 6 Tuscaloosa

I had to fly to Alabama to meet my daughter at her college and get her packed up for summer vacation. I booked it at the last minute unaware that graduation was the same weekend. Honestly I took the room because it was all that was available and basically I got what I paid for......cheap. The A/C was so loud I had to turn it off at night to sleep and then not only did the room get hot but the A/C from the room next to mine was a just as loud. The fridge was loud too. The TV needs updating and the bathroom wasn't clean. I ended up checking out after the first night and slept on the very small couch at my daughter's dorm! But the staff was pleasant and helpful and it was near enough to campus.

Friendly staff and clean room. Perfect if you just need somewhere to sleep for a few hours.

Rooms were very clean. Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great location for football game weekends. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay weekend for great price.

About the cheapest hotel around for a football weekend. However, bathroom had not been cleaned; therefore, there were not any towels/linens for our showers. Comforter smelled aweful! It is a little known fact though that the comforter is the dirtiest item in a hotel room. Air conditioner cooled only slightly. Hotel staff was very friendly!

I took my boys to the Alabama football game, We stayed here to avoid the trip home so late at night. I felt safe, the room was clean.

Price is just right on gameday. Just a place to sleep cheap. No frills.

Staff was great, room was clean and nice but.......there were several (at least 10) small roaches that needed dispatching of. That was pretty bad. Other than that it's a good joint. I would say yes to a recommend but with a warning.

when we arrived it was decent inside, the outside was in need of renovation . our room was clean and it looked average. Then we went shopping and came back at 11pm opened the door and roaches were crawling up and down the walls. We got a refund and spent over an hour looking for a room cause tuscaloosa was sold out due to campus move in day.

This was a most horrible experience!! We killed two roaches in our room before going to bed then couldn't sleep for worrying about bugs all night. The Bible was molded. The telephone was really molded and did not work. Three of four lamps in the room did not work. The switch was completely broken on the two lamps between the beds. We had no hot water!! A couple of rooms had room numbers hanging from their doors. We canceled our second night and got out of there!!! I've contacted Super 8 for a refund!!

The best thing about this hotel was its very convenient location. Easy access to the interstate, University of Alabama, shopping and restaurants. Probably not the best family hotel, but a good place for the single male traveler to stay only requiring a place to rest and clean up. Some travel challenges caused me to arrive very late at night, but upon my arrival I found the property well lit and with visible security. Therefore, I can say this motel provided me with a safe place to lay down and get cleaned up at a most affordable price.
