BEST WESTERN PLUS Oak Mountain Inn

TV Screen was Partly Green, Party Normal, Party Yellow. Beds are poor quality and have plastic sheets. AC outside room sounded like a deisel engine idling. This property is yards from the interstate which is very loud. This room was next to the stairs which produced a constant stream of slamming doors. Housekeeping disturbed the room even though the do not disturb sign was out and the halls were vacuumed early Sunday AM.

The check in was a disaster! Even though we prepaid when we made the reservation, the reception clerk requested a different credit card to be able to get in; otherwise we couldn't. He claimed something about the credit card not going through. We checked on the spot with the credit card company and, of course the charges went through just fine at time of reservation. The hotel was clean but not spectacular and certainly overrated at 3 stars. We'll not use Best Western for sure next time.

The breakfast selction were incosistant only one day were we able to get waffles.

Friendly sincere greeting, pleasant folks. Very well kept facility. Too noisey for me at night from tenants slaming the doors. I beleive the doors are designed to close hard,as the same problem was at the last Best Western I stayed at. The key cards seem to be a problem also, I prepaid for 2 nights and was locked out after the 1st. but, quickly corrected. The room had a chemical smell and damp as if it had been shampooed or deep cleaned. The room needed aired out which I tried the first night but it was not long enough, too hot to leave windows open.

Very conveniently located. Pretty noisy, due to interstate proximity and other localized commotion (garbage trucks, other guests). Had some trouble most of the week logging on to the internet, usually had to submit several times before it would connect.

WE went to attend a debate tournament. We arrived about midnight and the desk person was so helpful and thoughtful. My adult son who accompanied me is a wheelchair user and they went out of their wayto accomodate him. The only problem was the amount of furniture in the room made it a bit difficult for him to navigate the room without moving things around. The breakfast was great, fresh, and the area was very clean. Any questions or help we asked for was immediately responded to in a thoughtful, kind way. They also had a computer with online access and a printer which was very useful and appreciated. It compares very well to any chain hotel I've stayed in over my many years of traveling. The advantage for this hotel is their staff. From the desk persons to the maid service, they all were ready to help and did it in an unbelievably kind way.

This was a nice Best Western that accomodated us with whatever we needed.

Good service. Location easy to find. Dining optiosn within walking distance. Rooms clean, comfortable and quiet location.

We were there for a friend's wedding in Montevallo. Though it was a drive, the hotel was wonderful and the staff was very pleasant overall.

Check-in and check-out handled easily Breakfast was excellant. Rooms large ,clean,and well maintained
