Average...Ordinary...

This is a beach front property so you expect a little wear & tear...Overall though it's OK... But as a Hilton...average is not expected...the halls need a make-over color wise and maybe the painted wood panneling needs to go...The room carpet seems new...but UGLY as to color and design... The front desk clerk's personal issues with her boyfriend or husband on the phone could have ended a little sooner while I waited to check out... Even the fact that they 'comped' my breakfast check charged to my room since they couldn't find it... didn't really overcome the average hotel feeling...

Hilton Garden Inn, Perdido Beach

4th Flr, King Bedroom. Toilet wouldn't flush, Room was somewhat dirty and found hair in bedcovers. Since Toilet would not flush, exchanged rooms to 2nd Floor. Immediately cked toilet before unpacking. Again this room same side of building would not flush. Again asked to exchg rooms. Only thing available was room with 2 double beds. Mgr escorted to ck room and this toilet flushed. But, later discovered bathtub would not drain from showering. Management apologized, and gave me and the wife 2 free breakfasts for two days. But, I think I would find another accommodation next time. This place needs a facelift to be up to par. Sorry, but these are the facts...

For Seniors or any one... wanting seafood. Eat at DeSoto's Seafood Kitchen beginning at 3PM-5:30PM. esp. if you are a Senior. They have a great Seafood Combo Platter, with 3 sides and Tea for a discounted price. Plus other good things to eat.

Wonderful!

This hotel was wonderful and we will definetly come back to stay! We NEVER passed a staff member who didn't instantly greet us! They were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. The location was great, the beach was right in the back of the hotel. Pool and spa was clean and well kept and the bar at the pool was great! The bartender was fun and it was great to get a drink while relaxing at the pool. The only problem we encountered with our room was that the bathroom door was hard to close (heavy door!) but otherwise it was wonderful! Definetly a great place to stay for couples or families!

Be sure you know where you want to go for dinner as the Orange Beach strip is extremely long and the restaurants are pretty spread out - expect to drive at least 10 minutes for a decent restaurant.

Paradise around an average room.

Location to beach, staff, and amenities were excellent. Private beach had easy access and was well kept. Anytime we had a minor problem, staff came within 5 minutes to address. We expected a nicer room for the Hilton name. Both the room and bathroom were small and dated. The television was an outdated tube that had small interference on most channels; maybe a cable problem. Beds were very clean. Had to drive a bit to get to restaurants and Tanger outlet mall, but that is the price of being on the beach. Great time overall, but will find more updated hotel for next trip.

Franco's Italian Restaurant. Awesome food at a decent price. Excellent dining experience. Short distance from beach and hotels. Best filet I have ever had, and I have had many. If they had one near my city, I would drive there every weekend to dine.

Great Mother Daughter Get Away

We were at the beach to see my daughter's college roommate get married. Hotel was in a great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We opted for a pool view room, but the way the hotel is built, there is still a good view of the ocean from all the rooms. We really loved the covered parking because our car was nice and cool when we went out. We would certainly stay here again.

Not So Good

The hotel as a whole needed a major cleaning. Anything upholstered was VERY dirty. Around the pools could have been cleaner too. I have stayed at Hilton Garden's in the past and was pleased. This time I was very disappointed. Would not recommend this hotel.

Relaxing, and right on the beach

I stayed here over a long weekend and it was very nice. Despite a glitch with my key card (it had to be replaced twice), I enjoyed my visit. The breakfast is an actual full, hot buffet, not the donuts and rolls that you often find. For dinner, the hotel coordinates room service from area restaurants, a nice feature. The places I tried were delicious. The beach was in perfect condition, and right outside the door. Among other nice features: a very cool indoor-outdoor pool with hot tub, and a full gym.
