Family Getaway

I was dissappointed with this hotel. When we went to the room there was a dirty wash cloth hanging on the shower. There was not enough towels in the room. There was no phone in the room to use. When I woke up the next morning to make coffee there was no filter for the coffee pot, so I had to go to the front desk to get on, because I could not call the front desk because there was no phone. When I went to shave there was no drain stop for the sink. I would not rate this a three star hotel maybe a two at most.

Routine Visit

Everything was fine, the room was clean, staff friendly, etc. The only thing that I was NOT pleased with was the complimentary breakfast. There were no waffles or pancakes, eggs, etc.

College Visit

No issues with check-in or check-out. Staff was very courteous. The only dissatisfaction was the breakfast. I was expecting eggs, waffles, pancakes, but got cold cereal, yogurt, etc.

okay for one night

this was an ok place. kinda scary looking at night and our room was right next to the street so it was hard for me to get some rest. also you can hear every single person opening and closing their car doors. even though it looked kinda scary almost everyone there were families of 4 or more, with young and older children so it made it seem alot more safe, knowing that your not the only family there. breakfast was ok but laquinta doesnt usually have great breakfast. as a one nighter it was alright.

Great value!!!

Our room was clean and ready for us when we checked in. The a/c was already on so it wasn't too humid & hot inside the room. Every night we returned to a clean room and our bed was made. :) great experience!

Pleasant Stay

The hotel was in a descent location and it was near other convenient places (food, gas, shopping, bowling) that made the stay enjoyable. The beds were nice and comfortable and the room was nice. The only con was the bathroom, it was a little on the small size. Overall, we would stay again if we was passing through the area.

La Quinta 11/25/11

The room was comfortable but the maid did not bring me enough towels. The fire alarm had no battery and therefore not operational--which is a major code violation, the phone was disconnected and the wires clipped off so I could not use it. They allow guests to have animals in the room which I was not aware of. Okay for some but I don't want to sleep in a bed that an animal slept in. There was no refrigerator in the room. Probably will NOT pick this hotel in the future

Decent hotel

I stayed at the hotel for a family reunion. The service was great,The room was very clean. The only thing that was wrong was that our room was next to the pool area an there were ant and spiders in front of our door.We called the room service and they took care on the problem.

Basic accommodations

This motel is basic accommodations. The beds were clean and comfortable. The noise level was fine. The TV was a new flat-screen of decent size. Those are the nice things. The bathroom was not as clean as it should have been - there were several hairs on the vanity and in the tub. Apparently the motel has a cricket problem. I found 4 dead crickets and a dead beetle in the room, and the lobby had several dead/dying crickets on the floor. Although, I do prefer dead crickets to live chirping ones, so I guess the fact that they were dead was a plus. The phone's speaker button was malfunctioning, causing the phone to click loudly. We just unplugged the phone. The desk clerk said that new phones for all of the rooms were on order. The remote for the TV did not work, probably dead batteries. One other note: Beware of GPS directions for this motel. It is located at 1280 East Court, not 1280 EastERN Blvd. The two addresses are within a few miles of each other, but in the dark and in the rain, the GPS mistake is a pain. Be sure your GPS routes you to the intersection of East Blvd. and Charmichael - NOT to EASTERN BLVD. The entrance to the motel is at the entrance to the Shogun restaurant - it is very hard to see the motel from the street. Last year we stayed at the Drury Inn on East Blvd. on the other side of I-85, but we changed to this motel to try to save some money. Next trip we make we'll be back at the Drury. It is much nicer, although more expensive.
