Bad choice

This hotel is located across the street from a busy truck stop. When I arrived there with my wife and two year old daughter, two women of questionable employment were in the middle of an arguement with a hotel worker. We decided to stay somewhere else. I am surprised and disturbed that this hotel is listed on the website and recommended.

A convenient stay in Montgomery, Alabama

My stay in one of the America's Best Inns - the one at Montgomery South - was just what I expected. The purpose of my trip was sight-seing, specifically the sights connected with the history of civil rights movement. This motel is half-way through between Montgomery regional airport and downtown. Also, it is next to the Greyhound station, which was handy for me as I have used Greyhound to go to Selma and Tuskeegee. The downtown was a short cab ride away.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a plenty of fast-food eateries around the hotel, but the best place to eat is, perhaps, across the high-way, at the travel center.

I'd give it a miss

Room wasn't very clean; had wallpaper being semi-taken off but not finished with the job; no hair dryer!; raisin cereal had been in the bin for awhile; just generally not a great experience.
