great hotel
Viv Nov 16, 2009
We went here for a dance competition and were pleasantly surprised. Hotel was immaculant, staff was exceptionally friendly. ... Every need was taken care of. The one draw back was waiting for the elevator. They had 4 elevators, but we still had to wait a while and that was a complaint we heard often. In the hotels defense, they did give us a warning Sunday morning that they expected it to be very busy. Overall excellent!

Beautiful hotel, Beautiful price..
Traveling Mom Nov 15, 2009
We were there for a Dance competiton at the Convention Center. It was very convenient to the Center and provided a overpass ... walkway. The staff was very helpful. The room was amazingly clean!! It didn't even look like it had been used before. The view was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable..wish I had one at home. :) (The only drawback was the $12 parking fee.)BUT well worth the money (got a great rate for the room)I've paid more for a hotel of no comparison. FYI: No free internet access if you are on a business trip.

Very satisfied with stay. Staff very friendly and personable. Allowed late checkout without add'l charge--very convenient for ... my husband who did not attend the in hotel conference. Really no time for met to check out other amenities but was very satisfied with place/location/ of conference. Conference food fare could have been better, an afternoon snack would have been nice.

Nice
Leann Nov 25, 2008
The room and bathroom were somewhat on the small side. The closet was almost non-existent. Robes were provided, and there ... was a separate tub and shower. Not in this one. I know robes are a luxury, and everyone can survive with a tub/shower combo, but when you're paying this much money, you expect a little luxury. Overall, it was a nice experience. The staff were extremely courteous. Room service was prompt.

Wentzell's is only about 6 blocks away and always very good. We had lunch at a place called Mama's where we enjoyed the best French Dip ever!

Not worth the money
Larry Jul 14, 2008
The location was good in Mobile with museums and other places within walking distance. Unfortunately no place to eat ... downtown that we could find near the hotel. The restaurant that was recommended to us by the hotel concierge was terrible. The restaurant was called Eds Seafood Shed. Worst place I have eaten in a while. This was NOT located at the hotel but close to the USS Alabama battleship park. Hotel parking was $12 and next door so not a long walk but I really grow tired of hotels charging parking fees.
