It was a great price for a great room. My son thought the La Quinta was better than any other hotel he has ever stayed in and ... that is saying a lot because we have slept in a lot of hotels. Everyone was friendly and manager was very nice.

I've stayed in this motel several times each year, generally at the start or end of an extended stay in Mobile. This time ... was pretty much the same as usual. I got a room for 2 days. There was nothing much to say - the room worked for me both nights. I got my sleep, hot water in the shower in the morning, etc. The only thing of note is that the desk looked like its leg was ready to fall off, so maybe some maintenance is needed. But I would have no qualms about staying there again.

Lots of good shopping around, in general on the other side of I-65. One could walk, but the traffic is crazy around that overpass.

The location was nice... and the room hide a nice nook near the bathroom where we could let our baby sleep while we stayed up ... with our older boy & watched TV. However, the hotel was simply pretty old. Everything felt a little outdated and dingy... especially for $69. The Drury Inn next door was advertising rooms on their marquee for $79 a night. That would've been a much better value! Also, the wireless internet was the slowest I've ever been on. I could get nothing done on it.

The manager was rude . I booked a room with a king bed and ended up with a double. The manger said that they do not care what ... orbitz books for people. I am very upset about this . The room was dirty. The keys for the door didnt work right either. [...]I will never stay in a LaQuinta Inn again . I have a daughter that is in college in Mobile and that was the reason I was there . I will have to make several more trips to that area ,but I will never stay there again and proably never use Orbitz again and tell all my freinds and bussiness partners. Sorry about the bad info ,but the truth hurts. Also the air conditioner didnt cool well either . Eddie Norton

Good Rate if you're on time
Mr. Williams Apr 23, 2009
I had to travel to Mobile for a last minute family emergency. I called Orbitz rather that use the website because my arrival ... would be mid-night or later and I made the reservation for two days. I arrived at 3:00am, that following afternoon I was informed by the frontdesk that my reservation was changed to one night because of my late checkin. They demanded a credit card to charge for the second night that I already paid for through Orbitz. To prevent being billed twice I called Orbitz from the frontdesk and the matter was resolved. However it delayed me from seeing my sick mother for over an hour.

My regular hotel in Mobile
Emophiliac Apr 22, 2009
I've stayed at this hotel many times in the past. This time was pretty much like all of the others. The rooms are fairly ... nice, with just a few shortcuts on trim (which can be ignored). The biggest complaint this trip was that breakfast was pretty much a non-event. The juice machine was broken and there were only 2 cartons of milk. I couldn't get excited enough to do more than just grab one of the milk cartons and leave for work.

My choice for Mobile
Paul Nov 15, 2008
I had stayed at this hotel 4 or so years back, when I first lived in Mobile. This visit, though, went fairly smoothly. ... Check-in was easy. The room was located towards the back of the hotel, away from I-65, and I found it to be quiet. The rooms open up to the outside and there is parking along the building. The room was perfect for me. There might have been a few touchups that were needed, but nothing that would affect staying there. The location of the hotel is about perfect for Mobile - just across the highway from the main shopping malls for the city. Airport Blvd is the main East-West road, so it is easy to get around. And, oddly enough, this is just about the closest hotel to the Airport. There are a couple closer, but choices are fairly limited. I think you have to take a taxi or shuttle to get back and forth, but maybe I just didn't need to travel when one was around. The only downside was that the breakfast wasn't completely set up at 6am. There was milk, yogurt, waffles, toast, coffee, and such, but the orange and apple juice wasn't set up, for whatever reason. Still, I was able to get plenty to eat.

Great Contential Breakfast
nancy Dec 16, 2007
La Quinta Inn Mobile was a comfortable room with very comfortable beds. The room was sort of small but it was adequate. The ... hotel is pet friendly and though we did not have animals with us I thought that was cool. In the room there was only one chair at the table and when we move the table by the bed we realized the table legs were not attached. We walked in wet paint in the breezeway upon arrival but the weather conditions were very damp so I am sure that is why the paint was not dry even though did not see any wet paint signs. The location was very good for us and it was near lots of place to dine and shop. The employess were very nice and treated us well. The conential breakfast was excellent. I will recommend La Quinta Inn Mobile to my family and friends.
