You get what you pay for!

I chose this hotel for my family because it was affordably priced and it offered a free continental breakfast... the breakfast was eliminated because of budget cuts (Might want to double check the website!) The rooms weren't appalling... but the wife was not very happy with my choice. We will spend the extra $10-$20 next time and stay somewhere else.

There are many other choices for hotels in the very close vicinity; choose the Family Inns of America if you truely don't have any other choices.

The scary truth

You pass some very nice Hotels to see a run down dump. There is a fence between this Hotel and the nice ones. The swimming pool is over to the side behind some dumpsters next to the service road. To enter the pool you walk between the dumpsters, not safe at night. The Hotel is orange and yellow with a huge flashing sign out front. The people standing outside everywhere are not the people you want small children around. They look like prostitutes, and drug dealers. We saw no families staying at this Hotel. It is NOT the Hotel in the pictures on there web site. I refused to stay with my 3 daughters, ages 8, 10, and 15, because I didn't feel it was safe for us. [...]

Completely Awful

When we checked in, we had to talk to the woman at the front desk through a hole in a glass window. She was unfriendly and rude. The room was spacious, but smelled like mold and chemicals. The walls were so thin that we could hear our neighbors sneeze. When we checked out, we had to wait while the clerk talked to the owner on the phone. They were discussing the sales from the past few days with a tone that suggested she couldn't believe they made so much money. Neither could I, and I will never stay here again.

Friendly staff, but a rather old and out dated motel.

Run down

This is an old property and looks like nothing has been updated since it was built, including the linen. The front desk clerk was expecting me when I arrived late at night. That was pleasant. Breakfast was a sour box of orange juice and pre-packaged muffin.

Happy to leave alive!

The Family Inns of America, MOBILE, AL was unsafe with people outside our room and the office pandering for money and making noise all night. The non-smoking room had a strong nicotine order and the bath towels resembled cheese cloth napkins. You could hear casual conversations outside the room and every car or truck that pasted on the freeway. Other guests or party goers parked within nine inches of the front and back of our car from shortly after checkin until 6:00AM. We thanked God no one broke into our car or room and quickly escaped by checking out on the fly. No one should ever stay in this place unless they wish to give money to and party with the low lifers of Mobile.

I should have checked out

I had a bad feeling when we first arrived. The hotel was very out dated on the outside, so my imagination about what the inside looked like was similar. Once we got to our room I knew I should have turned around and check out. The room was out dated, dirty, and just over all a place that I did not want my son playing on the floor. There was trash onder the beds, mold in the shower, and curious hairs on the microwave. The smoke detector was detached from the wall, there was no clock or coffee maker, as well as no shampoo. The room was also lacking and adequet supply of towels. The pool water was murky, should I keep going??? I guess we got what we paid for. Next time I will spend the extra money! The owners should really take the negative reviews into consideration and do some remodeling.
