Quiet Reserved Getaway
I enjoy coming to the Guesthouse Suites. Majority of the staff is super friendly. The hotel has an apartment feel to it with all the appliances that it offers. No need to go out to eat when you have a full sized kitchen in your room with all the utensils to cook and eat with. The continental breakfast is okay... it's continental. lol. Just looking at the hotel, you would probably confuse it to be an apartment complex. The set up of the buildings, with only a couple of rooms to one building; giving you just enough privacy. This is a wonderful hotel to go to, especially for a quiet reserved getaway.

Disappointed
The good the bad and the creepy crawly
I've stayed in a GuestHouse in a different city and it was great. This review is specifically for the Huntsville location. When we first got there we were impressed with the layout of the room (full kitchen, living area, etc) but after being there a few minutes it became obvious that the hotel needs a lot of renovations. Everything (carpet, doors, curtains, appliances)is old (at least 25 years)and in desperate need of replacing, there is a thick layer of dust, the latch of the door broke off because the wood is so soft around it, there was a HUGE roach crawling along the wall (and im sure there were more). It needs to be updated very soon. Just being in there made me feel dirty even after the maid (whose line of questioning led us to believe that if we left the room unattended she was going to buglarize it) "cleaned" it. At $85/night the room should have been much nicer than it was.

Good Location, very convienent
I was pleased with the overall stay at the facility, it was clean and in a good location for my business. The downside for me was the high speed internet connection. It was very poor. Either the wireless transmitter was poorly located or didn't work at all. The connection speed when it worked was extremely slow, almost like a dial up connection. The service was good, good location, but I would not stay there again if my trip depended upon internet connections for on going business communications. This is a shame as the accomadations were quite good.
