Super 8 Homewood Birmingham Area

We were just coming to the Birmingham area for a concert. It's an ok place to just crash for a night. The gym was a joke, but the staff was nice enough. Room was decent, although I think all the carpets could use a good steam cleaning.

Quite, Clean and comfortable

Wasn't the worst hotel we have stayed at...as traveling contractors we are looking for something economical so it has served it's purpose in that sence, would never stay there with my family.

I was there for a funeral, it was a very confortable bed. The price was right. The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly, there was a odor in the room.and the iron didn't work. The carpet is in need of a good cleaning. I would stay there again.

In town for business, All I needed was a place to rest my head. The hotel is a little dated but the rooms appeared to be clean. I got what I paid for good value. I'm a non-smoker and was a little disappointed to have to walk through the smoke in the hallway (seeping out from under the doors of the smoking rooms), however, there was no smoke smell in my room.

the hotel is a little on the dated side, however, is completely fine. My room was large and included a king size bed desk, chairs tv, etc. The bathroom wasn't great, but again was simple and enough for what was needed. The bed was comfortable and the room was cleaned nicely everyday. The location of the hotel was great with easy access to I-65 which connects to other interstates easily and the hotel is only about 15 minutes drive from the airport. There isn't really any restaurants within walking distance but within a 5 minute drive you have access to over 50 restaurants from fast food to sit down of all different varieties. The breakfast in the morning is enough if you're not looking for a ton and not a lot of variety. It's a basic cereal, toast, bagel breakfast, however there was plenty to go around.

ok and quiet no entertainment

It was a good hotel for what we needed...i am not picky. the only problem that I had was the rooms where small. We didnt stay in our room long because we where at a wedding. If i ever went to that town again I would def. stay in it again.

I was there with my husband to go to a conference the next day, so we only stayed in the hotel for a night. It was clean and the beds were VERY comfortable. But the walls seemed paper-thin. We heard people upstairs all night. It sounded like they were playing basketball up there. The breakfast didn't have much to offer, but the receptionist was nice. :) For our travel purposes, it was acceptable - one night stay, no bells and whistles.

After reading what people said about this motel, I was very sceptical. I always believe in checking things out for myself and I am glad I did and would return again. I was quite surprised for the price.
