We stayed there so that we could go to the NASCAR race. It did not have a or microwave in the room which would have been nice to have. Clean enough but the ceiling has stains.

This hotel was very accomodating. The only complaint we have is that in the morning there is only one person preparing the meals, drinks, etc. It had become quite back logged as people waited. I would suggest staffing one extra person during the peak breakfast hours. Other than that, everything was great!

Aging Hotel
We came for a sporting event in the town. We found the room to be small with no outside balcony or patio. The television sat at a 90 degree angle to the bed so it was difficult to watch from there.

Courtyard Marriott Homewood
Overall, the hotel was OK. My only complaints were that the floor was not vacumed very well...there was some trash left under the edge of the bed. Also, toilet paper and coffee were not replenished after maid service on the 2nd day. We had to call down to the front desk to get these things. The front desk was very helpful, however. Don't forget your hair dryer...the hotel does not have these!

Clean, Comfy and Great Location
The Homewood Marriott Coutyard is one of my favorite places to stay. It is located in a lovely suburb of Birmingham, close to shopping, great dining (Brio) and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The rooms appear to have been updated and remodeled since my last visit there and they are clean, comfortable and tasteful. It was a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Even though I never got around to using the fitness center or the swimming pool, it appeared more than adequate and the pool was inviting. I highly recommend this hotel whether for business or pleasure. Wireless Internet might have been nice, but the desk and workstation with free hi speed cable was certainly suitable.

Shopping tip:

Even though the Marriott Courtyard feels somewhat secluded up on a knoll, directly across from it is a high end shopping center with several great places to eat. It is only a short drive to several markets and is very close to the lovely Botanical Gardens and zoo.
