Days Inn Gulf Shores AL

We were very happy with our hotel stay. The room was a little older but well kept and very clean. It was even closer to the beach than described on the internet, less than a 3min drive to the public beach. The indoor pool was great to have a break from the sun and the sauna room was a nice surprise. If you don’t have the cash for a room with an ocean view; this hotel was great for the price and location.

This hotel was clean and inexpensive . We snuck off for a mini vacation and needed a nice hotel at the last minute. LaQuinta met all of our needs and I will def. stay again. The one and only thing that could make it better is if it was located on the beach.

Stayed there because it was close to the golf courses that I was playing. When I checked in I had no coffee, no alarm clock, and about 6 sheets of toilet paper. There where empty water bottles under the bed skirt and hair all over the floor in the bathroom and in the tub.

I read several reviews of the hotel prior to going. Past reviews were very good, but the most recent, June 2010, were horrible. Due to the reasonable price and time since the last reviews, I thought I would take a chance on the hotel correcting the problems they were having. My biggest concern was clean room/towels/beds/sheets. Upon my arrival, the lobby was clean and quite pleasant. When we got the the room, I found everything to be in order, clean and in good repair. We did not use the pool so I cannot comment on that. My experience was good with my expectations so I gave it four stars.

We stayed one night for the Bon Jovi concert and came home the next day. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was no blow dryer in the room and go figure....niether of us had one. Our key to get in the room did not work the entire time so, we had to go to the front desk and they used a master key. Our room was at the far opposite end of the building.

went by early since because would be returning late after concert. when arrived at 9pm was give room that had not been cleaned. Waited while clerk went throught several calls to mgr. to determine no rooms available elsewhere (sold out for concert) finally given room. both ice makers out of order. elevators out of order. [...]. Could not believe mgmt left knowing rooms not cleaned and sold out for concert. On site staff at check in and out seemed unable to make decisions or resolve problems.

[...] This is an older La Quinta that was not well run and had not recovered from a non recent hotel flood. Carpet was missing in downstairs hallways, peeling wallpaper in common areas, Walmart Great Value brand stuff for breakfast, bathroom drains that didn't drain; spoke with hotel staff to get those fixed and nothing was done. Also, the hotel dryer broke and it was difficult to get additional towels to go to the pool. This hotel is barely a one star. This was during a slow spring break week March 20-25. We wouldn't stay there again for anything.

We stayed there because of the indoor pool because we knew the weather was going to be bad. The indoor pool was as cold as an outdoor one so we where unable to use it. We thought it would be a relaxing weekend but the laundry room ran all night and was so noisy we could not sleep. At 6:00am the construction noise started. The place otherwise was nice and a good value!

I HAD DIRTY TOWELS THAT APPEARED TO HAVE BEEN STAINED UP BY GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT. THE SHOWER WAS DIRTY VERY NASTY. WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO THE FRONT DESKS ATTENTION I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD BE ABLE TO BRING MY TOWELS DOWN AND I COULD PICK UP MY CLEAN TOWELS AT THE FRONT DESK. FOR THE MONEY THAT I PAID I THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND THAT THIS WAS NOT IN FACT WHAT I HAD PAID FOR AT ALL. I WOULD NOT CHOOSE TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN.THIS TO ME WAS A SHAME AS WE PLANNED TO VACATION THIS SUMMER BACK TO GULF SHORES AND WILL NOW HAVE TO SEARCH FOR ANOTHER HOTEL TO PLAN OUR STAY.I KNOW THAT THIS MAY NOT BE THE TYPE OF COMMENTS THAT YOU MAY WANT TO HERE BUT I AM ONLY BEING HONEST.

The LaQuinta Inn Gulfshores was nice, comfortable, clean hotel and it's centrally located. I liked the fact that the sink was separate from the bathroom. It is located one block from Waterville and the zoo and about a mile from the beach. You will miss it if you don't have directions, because you can't see the sign from main road.
