Lots of comfort for just me and the kids
This was a great getaway for me and the kids. I was slightly nervous because dad couldn't come, but the the room and the area was so comfortable that I completely relaxed and we had so much fun. The Crystal Tower had it all with 3 pools and 2 hot tubs. There is a climate controlled bridge over the street that carries you out to one of the pool/hot tub areas with gates access to the beach. The rooms were very nice and well equipped. We felt completely safe and comfortable. We can't wait to come back!!!

Great Place to Stay on Beach
Stayed here for a week in early March, it was chilly, but we knew we probably wouldn't spend any time in the water. There is a small heated indoor pool, and two hot tubs. The outdoor pool looked fabulous and I bet it is pretty full when it is hot out. Also a nice exercise room with treadmills and elliptical machines. And an arcade room with quite a few games. Access to property is private including beach. The living room and master bedroom have balcony access and a full wall of windows, they are coated so no one can see inside. The balcony view is of the beach and ocean and the view out the front door is of a lagoon. So nice views in either direction. 3 elevators so no waiting. Kitchen has new appliances, electric glasstop stove, microwave, sidebyside fridge, granite countertops and dish washer. Bathrooms are very large, master has double sinks, other one has one sink, but almost just as big and connects to the spare bedroom and main living area. Full size washer/dryer in unit, very handy for stay longer than few days. Furniture is very nice, beds in our unit were very comfortable (these units are individually owned and either rented out by owner or by a rental agency - the unit we stayed in is rented by owner unit 802) Plenty of dishes and pots and pans. Wireless internet access is free and works very well, my son was able to play his online games with no problems and we could watch Netflix without any lag. There are no stores or restaurants within walking distance, but it is nice not to have so much traffic or noise (the ocean is loud enough). I will be staying here again when it gets warmer, probably come back in May.

Short drive from hotel
We did not have any issues with waiting while here, even on a Saturday, mostly walked in and sat down. Once Spring Break hits and the weather gets warm I would bet it gets very crowded and can be a long wait to eat out, but since I had a lovely kitchen, we just got groceries and ate in most of the time anyway. There are several grocery stores, one Publix down the road to the east near Orange Beach, then a Winn Dixie, Brunos and Publix on 59 going north. Prices didn't seem too crazy, so I would recommend grocery shopping and using the wonderful kitchen in the unit.

Wonderful Week-end get-away
Great room with a nice view of the beach. Loved the pools, and the option to swim in the ocean. Enjoyed them both. Great restaurants and shopping and family entertainment very close by. At first I was disappointed that we weren't on one of the bottom floors, but the 14th floor turned out to have a great view of the city and the beach. It was beautiful!

Had to wait for a table, so maybe if you have children along, eat a little earlier. The food at Doc's Seafood was marvelous. Only an hour wait. Went to Lulu's first, but with a 2 hour wait we decided to try Doc's. It was around 7 p.m. when we got there.

Well worth the money!
Went for a weekend getaway! Just what we needed. Two bedroom allowed for kids to be in one room. The pool was great. We did not take any toys to the pool and the security guard was nice enough to get us some floats that someone else had left behind.
