Budget-friendly and Gulf views right by the beach
Beachside Resort Hotel is just steps from the beach. The 100-room hotel sits across the street from the sandy Alabama coastline, and its outdoor pool affords sweeping Gulf of Mexico views. Guests eat breakfast for free (deluxe continental), and the on-site restaurant, Tequila West Beach, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with Mexican flair. Nearby attractions include Waterville U.S.A. Water & Amusement Park, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, and, of course, that big sugar-white beach across the road -- free and open to all.

STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE

ROOM HAD AN UNCLEAN FEELING. CARPET DIRTY. NO SHAMPOO IN BATHROOM. TRIED TO CALL FRONT DESK AND LET IT RING 12 TIMES, NO ONE ANSWERED. WILL PAY MORE NEXT TIME FOR A BETTER ROOM.

Nice view!

Good for the price. However the trash can by the pool was overflowing the entire 3 days we were there. The breakfast choices were slim.

terrible for the price.

The staff was great but the hotel itself along with the room and breakfast was not worth $150 at all. Terrible place to stay at.

Shrimp Festival

The room was clean along with a new refrigerator. There was plenty of room and the table and chairs were nice. The location was just 3 blocks from the Shrimp Festival and the beach was just across the street. The live band playing at night was good. It was much better than I expected for the price. Great value.

Great place to stay, especially if you want to be close to the beach and the shrimp festival. We plan on staying there next year.

That worked!

The cheapest place on the beach. Beds could have been more comfortable, but a super view! Staff was trying, everything worked, the vibe was cool, as long as your expectations weren't too high.

noisy, smokers everywhere....not good for the price. more expensive then the very nice condo with security we left a half mile from there

Charges

I checked into the hotel and was asked for my debit card for incidentals.I had to leave the same night due to a family emergency.To my surprise when I checked my account my debit card had been charged 98.79. they tried to charge it again but I got that charge denied. I have repeatedly called the hotel and can not get anyone to call me back or make this right. My recommendation is stay away.

Nice hotel, fair price

The hotel is not on the beach, but it is directly across the road from beach access. We just walked across the road. The back rooms have a nice view of the bay. The pool is in an interesting place, on top of the entrance to the hotel. It was located really close to the middle of everything.
