Clean rooms, great rates -- a bargain on the Mobile Bay eastern shore
Clean rooms and a friendly staff drive the appeal of this budget-friendly retreat on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. Located just off Interstate 10, Microtel Inn and Suites Mobile/Daphne AL is convenient to attractions like USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park and the United States Sports Academy, and a mere exit from the shops and restaurants of Eastern Shore Centre. A restful retreat away from family.
We stayed here two years in a row and the stay was great. The staff was great, always asking if we needed anything and if not told us to just ask any time, day or night. They were just always asking to help. The only bad thing I could find was the entrance. It was not lite up well enough to see. And the it was in the middle of a medium road so you had to go pass and u-turn to get there and look close for your turn. But the rest of the stay was great,staff and all. Thank you for making it that great for the home away from home feel.

There was resturants close enough to walk or short drive. The shopping was also close You could get to just about any where you wanted at a close distance.

great stay
We arrived an hour and a half before check in and they allowed us to check in early. Our rooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. Both check in and check out was the fastest I have ever experienced. I do agree with other reviewers that the hotel could do with better signage. It is a little difficult to locate the entrance if you are not using GPS.

There a lot of places to dine within walking distance of the hotel. However since it is on a very busy highway, I recommend taking the car.

It was just as the website showed. Everything we needed; clean, friendly, adequate breakfast bar. A little hard to find. We passed it and had to call to help us find them. Smoking rooms are on the top floor.

Family getaway
The staff was friendly and accomodating with the exception of the owner who was at the desk one morning we were there. He was incredibly rude. The sign is completely obscured with trees and we were unable to find it initially. The room initially seemed pretty clean but there was pink mold growing on the showerhead. We were staying on the second floor and 2 mornings in a row it was quite appartent that there was someone smoking in their room on that floor.

smoke free please!!!
Nasty!!!!!!!!!
This hotel was so nasty. The whole place smelled of cigerette smoke. When i reserved my room i requested a non smokeing room. I did not get that. Not pleased at all. I will never stay at that hotel again. Way to far from any beaches or attractions. I give this hotel a ZERO!!!!!!!

Great place to stay.
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms,very quiet and peaceful. I really didn't expect as much for the price. We were there to visit USS Alabama and Mobile Botanical Gardens. We enjoyed that very much. We also visit Biloxi, Ms beaches since it was a little less that an hour away. I will definitely choose Microtel Inns & Suites again.
