Good night's rest
This hotel was a good place to relax and recover from long hours on the road. The staff had difficulty accommodating my non-smoking room request made at time of purchase, and I had to contact my booking reservation's service desk. Once it was straightened out that I should be assigned a non-smoking room, I was able to enjoy my stay.

Travelling Padre
Not as good as I expected
I was visiting the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville. The room at the Holiday Inn Express in Cullman was clean and very comfortable. It was the service that was lacking. First, the check in took unusually long even though I had reserved and paid ahead of time and there were no other guests at the counter at the time. It took more than 10 minutes to check in. Second, when I was making the reservation I had called the hotel and they asked if they could call me back. I left my number, but they did not call back for over two hours. During that time I made the reservation online [...]. Third, there was a card that gave the access code to the internet in the room. The code had expired. I called the front desk three times over a period of 20 minutes to ask for the new code and there was no answer. So, I walked to the front desk. They gave me the new code. I have not stayed at a Holiday Inn Express before and will be relunctant to do so again.

A Clean and New Hotel
The hotel is new and the pool is kept clean and breakfast is nice. We had a smoking room but you could smell the smoke when you got off of the elevator and not all the rooms on our floor were smoking rooms. Not too appealing for our visitors. This is the nicest hotel in town and you'd think it would be better ventilated. Our grandchildren came to stay with us and our daughter said their things smelled like smoke when they came home and we didn't smoke in the room with them there.

Greatest Place to Stay in Cullman, AL
Extremely helpful and professional staff. Hotel was immaculate in all areas including the room. Great breakfast send off each morning. Will stay at this hotel each and every time I travel to Culllman.
