beautiful hotel
The only problem is that the hotel is on an extremely busy road and the traffic was so slow that it took us forever to get to the hotel and we would never have been able to get back out to go eat or shop. The blow dryer did not work properly but everything else was great.

Great location, easy access to Barber
Easy in and out access. Quiet area. Nice clean, comfy room. Painless check-in/check-out. I was able to add a guest at the last minute at no additonal cost. Very good value. I would go back for another stay.

Be prepared for LA style traffic in and around Birmingham. I was very surprized, I had been expecting Atlanta style extended rush hour slow downs, not continuous heavy traffic 8:00am - 10:00pm.

Great location, very clean
checked in late & had to wait for the clerck. Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. A/C was on. Breakfast was hot & fresh & well stocked. Would stay there again, great bargin! Easy to get to downtown and plenty of good restaurants close by.

Great Hotel
Went to visit our son, daughter-in-law, and new grandson. This hotel was central to great places to eat and shopping for the baby and his parents. We really enjoyed the hotel. It also was quiet even though it was right off a large, busy road.

Recommended stay in Birmingham AL
I am about to wrap up my stay at the Wingate and I can't say enough good stuff about the staff, the hotel and my overall experience. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. The room was very large with a very nice, comfortably bed. The bath is a good size and was very clean. I honestly don't have a bad thing to stay about this place. And I would highly recommend it to others.

There are so many different dining choices in this area and all are very good. Just as you would expect...good ole southern cooking, but with a splash of class.

This was a very quite, comfortable place to stay in Birmingham, AL. The staff were most accomodating and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. It was a very large room with a small frig, microwave and coffee maker. The room, including the bath, was very neat and clean. We will be staying here again on our next trip and would highly recommended it.

Safe area, clean for the price
Over night stay on way to races went out to eat and did some shopping in area day prior to race.
