Modern Hotel
My family and I enjoyed our stay. The suite was modern. The amenities were lacking. We'd prefer if they had an indoor pool for our children. There was only one television in the suite.. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable.

First experience with Springhill
Property very clean - very efficient and helpful front desk staff. Room very clean and comfortable. Construction material apparently low budget with some minor noise problems, but otherwise, a pleasant stay. Complimentary breakfast very good with healthy choices as well as standard fare.

Great quality for the price
We visit Birmingham several times a year to visit family, and have stayed at nearly a dozen hotels. This hotel is newer than many, very clean, rooms are well laid-out, staff very friendly and helpful. Offers coffee 24 hours, decent-sized fitness center, serve-yourself breakfast. Also located near a nice place for runners/walkers to exercise, and not far from Colonnade with a variety of restaurants. Easy access to interstates and airport without being on highway. I strongly recommend this hotel, it offers great value for the price, better than other hotels in the price range in the area.

Busy Momma
Everything We needed
My husband and two small children came to Birmingham to visit my family. We have a special needs child and have to carry our own food. This hotel made it easy for us with a small kitchen-like area with microwave, sink, and refrigerator and storage space in the room. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had requested a port-a-crib, however the crib we received looked old and uncomfortable, so we ended up not using it. We enjoyed the pool several days and the breakfasts, which came with our room, were great. The location is good once you find it. We missed the turn right off 459, and then had a hard time finding it in the dark. However, it is located near a shopping area call The Summit, with lots of restaurants and places to shop. It was a bit of a drive from my parent's home, however, it's the best place we've stayed at in Birmingham, and we were very pleased with our stay and will most likely stay there every time we visit.

A really sweet suite
Wow! I could not believe what a great room with such a fantastic staff was possible for what [...] found for me at my price! The location could not have been better; close to shopping, the freeway, and for me, family. I would not hesitate to recommend the SpringHill Suites Colonnade for anyone traveling to the south side of Birmingham.

Unbeatable nice hotel for the price
Usually stay in the vicinity for the race at Talladega. We found this hotel to be alot better. It was more roomier and nicer. The breakfast was better. Restaurants were conveniently located. Not hard to get out to interstate at all. Would stay here again. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Huge mall just south on 459 S. exit 13B called the Riverchase Galleria. If you want something cool to do other than just in the vicinity of the hotel. It's a 2 story mall, plenty of shopping.

The bar-b-que restaurants in the area are great - if they are still in business. Two of them listed in the phone book were gone.
